Using a keyword in domain twice?

Does it make any SEO sense to buy a domain that is a repeat of the keyword you are after?
like: attorneyattorney.com or dog-dog.com obviously the singular of the common domains domains are long gone but how about a repeat?

    I don't know for a sure, but
    I'm betting any SEO gains
    will be short-lived.

    With Google anyway.

    They're constantly refining
their algo, so if it does work
well for you, I'm guessing it
    will stop at some point.

It's about then you'll feel the
    fabled "slap" lol.

I don't think it would be short lived. The domain is a primary SEO factor.

    Of course it is.

But don't you think Google are
    smart enough to realise that
    having double keywords in
    the domain doesn't necessarily
mean the site is more relevant?
