How do you find out the demographics for a product that you're creating?

For the sake of this example, I know how to find out demographics for a affiliate product that I am promoting. Mainly because the sites are usually established so finding the demo info is easy.

Let's say I am creating a product about how to start a tow truck business, how would I find my demographics online so I can target blogs/websites, etc.. for the purpose of advertising?

Thank you.

Ideally, you do it the other way round, and design the product according to your knowledge of the demographics. Apologies if this sounds unhelpful (and I don't know the tow-truck business start-up niche at all!) but this relates to the difference between finding out what people want to buy and then looking for a way of supplying it, rather than producing something to sell and then asking yourself "how to find people who might want to buy it".

I created the product based on my research and demand for similar products.

The info that I am looking for is age, race, gender, income level, etc....

You can find demographics info on blogs and other sites by using QuantCast.com. You can see male/female, age, kids, income, education and race. It will give you a read out on the percentages of those that use the site.

Of course not all sites are included, and I think it will give you estimates on smaller sites. If the site you are looking up has no data it is likely not worth advertising on anyway.
