How to purchase a site

Long time lurking here. I just want to say there are a lot of very intelligent people here and I love the wisdom you guys share. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I have a question for you all.

There's a website I'm interested in purchasing. It's similar to the warrior forum but needs ALOT of tlc. I did a google search that lead me to a page that said the website made $29 a day and that the owner is resides in india some where.

I want to know is it possible to just set up like a payment plan or something, because I don't want to just purchase up it front with cash. And if so, how should I present this to the site owner?

Also, is there a free website that gives free stats on a particular website?

I'm not sure why you are asking us if you can set up a payment plan. Surely the only person who can tell you if that is acceptable is the site's owner. If it was my site, and I wanted to sell it, I'd ask you to pay up front. Otherwise, I'd retain ownership until you'd made every single payment.

Not many sellers would go for a payment plan deal. I know I wouldn't. You do need to do due diligence prior to buying a site to determine whether or not the stats, traffic, revenue are real or faked.

Here's a post I did for Flippa on due diligence.
