IMADOOFUS! Stoopid question!

Hi! I made the biggest rookie mistake. I submitted my WSO thread and FORGOT my buy button!!! I did submit a help ticket, but I know how busy they are. I DID DO my best to search this problem, but I came up with nothing. It has already been approved!

When you're all done laughing at me.... can someone please let me know if I:
a) Just give in and resubmit my wso thread
b) Wait patiently for the help desk to get back to me
c) Go ahead and pay for it and the option to edit it is in there!

Seriously, I'm feeling like a complet doofus. Sorry Mods, I am so not trying to promote myself.. I'm just a little frazzled! This might help someone in the future.

Any help is worth a cheesecake! Also, I did read the rules, more than once, no where in there does it say if you're stoopid, don't click submit. I really can't believe I forgot the most important part.. sigh.

Thanks everyone....

~ Theresa

What you did is completely normal. You can't even put in a WSO Pro button until after the WSO is approved. So pay your fee, go in and edit your WSO, and paste in the button. No problem.

Well, sadly, I didn't go the WSO Pro route. AGAIN, ROOKIE MISTAKE!

I hang my head in shame...

Jason, I have followed your threads for quite some time, and thank you!! Means a ton to me that you stepped in!

Won't screw this up again. But from what you and Alexa posted, looks like I can edit after I make it live!

      Much, much thanks to you!!!

Now you're talking my kind of language.

I have never done a WSO and have no idea what I'm talking about at all. But hey ... cheesecake is cheesecake and you can't blame a girl for trying? I don't understand why this is a disaster at all. Why not just wait until your WSO is live, edit the post, and put the button in? (What did I miss, here? Or even mis-hear, come to think of it?).

Wishing you very good luck with it!

So my sneaky tactic worked? :p

Your cheesecake is yours Alexa. Pick the flavor. Warning though, mine aren't some little thingy you get in the supermarket. Mine are 9" wide, 3" sometimes more, high.

Thank you! I think that is my best solution. Again, I feel like a doof! I swear I searched this and couldn't find anything but editing the title. I have the pre-post jitters and it's flogging my brain!

Thank you for your blessings! Means a ton!

I know you're across "the pond"... but I stand by my cheesecake offer.

      Again, thank you so much!!!!

Ah, um.......if I'd known there was cheesecake in it, I'd have figured it out myself! Meet the woman that can polish off a 9" x 3" cheesecake all by myself in one sitting.

It is nice to know that I'm not the only one on the forum that isn't a techno-geek, though. I'd rather have the cheesecake than know I'm not the only one.

Thanks Sal! Yes, being denied any tech genes is frustrating. Luckily I had beer.

We can have a contest..who can polish one cheesecake off, first!

Hi Jason! Sorry I didn't answer this earlier. We had one heck of a lightening storm!

Anyhow, I'm using just a paypal button and my autoresponder.

      Is that enough?

      Thankssssss!

Sure. It can be confusing the first time you post a button like that. You have to have the image hosted somewhere, like on your own website or flikr, insert it into your WSO, and then insert a link (the "email" link in your button code) around the image. All using those buttons in the editor. Did you figure it out?

Also note in Paypal when you set the button up, in Section 3 you can set pages for the viewer to go to when they succeed in buying, or cancel their order midway through the process. Good for delivery, and "saving" a sale by sending the bolter to a different offer page.

BTW for the future, there's an offer to get a WSO Pro button for $1 (yep, a buck--you pay the rest of their fee after you've made 5 sales).

          yep.

ha kinda funny thread at the beginning, but yeah these mistakes are made all the time, w/ WSO especially if it's your first one and you haven't paid the fee.

It's all good though, cuz this is how we learn, thrown into the fire and getting a little burned, but we recover.
