Anyone tried Video Genesis?

Earlier yesterday I received an email with an offer from one of the industry leaders in my niche for some training called "Video Genesis" - Video Genesis Grand Reopening

The bottom line is that it's training designed to help people market with video, which is something I've really wanted to get into doing more and more (I've run split-tests with landing pages, one with video and one without, video always won by a long shot).

Has anyone gone through this training before? If so, would you recommend it? Would I be better off (or could I find the same information) in the High Voltage forum here?

Any other insights would be massively appreciated, and a quick response would be very helpful as it's a limited-time offer.

I didn't buy it but I have read a lot of unsatisfied reviews about it.
for example, a friend of mine said that it is a small version of
Video Boss - Video Boss was the biggest launch for Andy Jenkins - and
he told me that the launch videos are more valuable than the training inside
    Video Genesis.

I have purchased it and have gone through some of the videos. I have picked up a few things that have helped me with the last few videos I have done.

I did not buy Andy's Video Boss, so I can not say if this is similar, better, or worse. Overall I am happy with the information I have received so far.

Like Jay I'v also been through some of the videos & picked up a few tips. It's worth the price paid, but not near the thousands of dollars they would have you believe.

As far as delivery of the content goes...it's ALL video.

I have it, its not good at all. It is very very costly for that price tag.

i'm learning to make great videos as well... but definitely i feel the sales copy can be a little overrated and overpriced.

Thanks for the input guys! Do any of you feel that one would be better off with the High Voltage Video Forum to develop some sharper video marketing skills?

Is a paid section right? If so, i don't think you should join to get started with Video Marketing. Basically, in VM there are 2 angles of attack: Viral Videos / Videos to Target Google Keywords.

In general both have a different approach and you should find which "angle" is the best for you. Then, just use the search bar to find what you're looking for.

Right, the High Voltage video forum on here is one of the paid sections. I was just curious since it's only $20 vs. Video Genesis' $297 price tag. And while I'm willing to invest in my business I'm not so quick to get in over my head haha.

I like the way you simplified it - Viral Videos/ Keyword Videos, makes sense! I've done a little video marketing and would like to do it more, if not nearly exclusively as it also plays a big part of my "passion" project and I've found audiences connect better with video than sales copy or story writing.

I did a review on my site but the quick version here is it all depends on your goals and current skill set. Because I already have decent video skills I was more interested in what I could glean from the profiting side of it versus learning the video skills which in my opinion are not all that awesome but fairly decent for the few that are in there. For me I decided that I wanted to finally focus on something and due to my video skills already it made sense for me to stay in that arena. I made the investment and so far I am not disappointed but again it depends on your goals and where you are. If anyone's interested I can re post my review here.
