I need help and advice with my host server.
I'm trying to get their support to respond but all I'm doing is spinning my wheels.
Their tutorials are not broad enough to be understood by a dinosaur like me and I'm wasting valuable earning time waiting for them to respond.

Does anyone use coolhandle and can answer my questions, I would be most grateful.

What's the question? I'm sure even if someone doesn't use this service they may still be able to help.

PS. your signature link is broken. You forgot to put a (.) after the www

      Hi Mike,

Sadly I have more than one question.

1st is how to keep each domain name separate in cpanel, I have one active domain and when I tried to add a new domain using a new file it blended with the active domain and I had to delete and reloads the file for the active domain.
In the client area of Coolhandle there isn't a cpanel link which makes it difficult if you don't know the right way to add code to a domain link to access a cpanel for that domain.
The only cpanel access I have is with the active domain and I can't work out the right way to add more domains without compromising existing domain.

2nd is paying for domains I've transferred from hostgator but I guess I will need coolhandles help to get that done but is getting very frustrating because I'm trying to give small local business an internet presence and it's not a good look if you can't answer your own questions.

1: To login to any Cpanel on any of your domains just do this: http://mydomain.com/cpanel

        2. Did you buy your domain names through hostgator? If so, then I suspect the transfer to Coolhandle might take a few days. Keep hastening them about it.

          Thanks Mike

Tried step 1 to no avail, I did all the waiting periods and I can see my domains on Coolhandle but it's the working with each one individually that I'm unable to work out.

I tried new folder but ended up with a blending of 2 domains and had to delete and redo my 1st customers website. It was embarrassing as they went to demonstrate their site and it was half theirs and half the new one.

So now I have been spinning my wheels for nearly a month trying to get a response to my questions.

I know what you are trying to tell me when you say the two domains are blended. The initial domain you opened the service with will be the main domain of your account. From there all your other domains will be within that folder.

When you connect with an FTP program such as FileZilla or something like that you will login to your main domain the account is under.

From there you will click on the folder "public_html" and you will see all your other domains listed as folders. (Those folders will have the domain name followed by a .com) Click on the one you want to work on or upload information onto.

If it's the main domain you are working on then all of those files are in the public_html folder along with the other domain name folders. Do you see what I'm saying? If you use the Cpanel to manage your files instead of an FTP program I mentioned it gets quite confusing (at least for me) so that's why I use FileZilla and everything is kept organized.

When you say the sites where blended I'm thinking you may have uploaded files to the wrong website location by mistake.
