Changing Hosts

Hi,

I've just changed from Future Quest to Hostgator (actually 12 hours ago), any idea how long the changes take? When I type in my URL I'm presently being directed to Future Quest.

    24 to 48 hours for the DNS to fully transfer over to the new host. Normally faster but those are the basic numbers. FLUSH your DNS on your local machine as it maybe done already

    To flush your DNS run the command ipconfig /flushdns

    In most cases the DNS update should be almost instant but as Michael said it can take up to 48hrs

    yup it takes up-to 48 hours to update DNS.
