Can anyone recommend a good wp theme for a squeeze page?

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend a good wordpress theme or plugin for a squeeze page? (preferably inexpensive or free)

And one more thing. Out of the two squeeze pages below, which one do you think converts more and is better for relationship marketing?

Just a note: I found these images through a google search.

Thanks for the support, guys.

    I don't know.

However, I can offer you a comment about the first one you showed, above.

    Every single time
I've seen (other people's) split-testing results of a comparison between that kind of "pictorial background" squeeze-page and the same thing with a plain, white background, the plain white background has converted significantly better. Which doesn't surprise me at all. And knocking about here somewhere is a thread in which 10 or 12 other Warriors say exactly the same thing (sorry, can't find the link at the moment). Sometimes "nice-looking" and "best-converting" are two entirely different things.

I don't use squeeze pages and don't like them, myself. (I have, in the past). Obviously I don't suggest that they don't work, and I know plenty of people have some success with them. If you're going to use one, I advise you (i) to keep it clean and simple, (ii) to avoid any bright red lettering, (iii) to avoid any sentences, even headlines, In Which Every Word Starts With A Capital Letter, (iv) to avoid asking for people's names as well as for their email addresses, (v) to provide reassurance about privacy/spam, and (vi) to list the benefits (of whatever you're offering) concisely. I think that just about covers all the basics.

Even more important than all that, probably, is to make sure that whatever you are offering (for the opt-in) fulfils the specific purposes listed in this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post7647187

    And good luck!

Honestly, for just a squeeze page... a WP (WordPress) installation is a complete overkill!

When setting up a "classic" squeeze funnel you would need maximum 3 files (aka pages):
    - the optin page with the form
    - thankyou page
    - download page

The last two could become one - depending whether you use confirmed optin or not.

Those 2-3 html files and an image folder are the most you'd need to set up a squeeze page.

Thanks, Istvan! I plan to use single opt-in after reading a heck lot of posts in the forums.

It's only 6 pages and more of a checklist than anything else. But what you're interested in will be the resources section.

BTW, I think the first squeeze page would have the higher opt-in rate
Thank you for the feedback and offer but you don't seem to have a signature link.

I highly recommend the 3 below, because I've used them and all of them are really high quality:
    1. OptimizePress
    2. LeadRocket by derekpierce (but it's closed)
    3. LeadPages by Clay Collins

None of them are affiliated links.

Replying to your question... Most probably the 2nd screenshot with the bullets will win. The problem here is not the design but the copy difference.

For relationship marketing, you need to test it. If I'm not wrong, the 2nd version "kind" converted better in my tested relationship niche. But I've also heard that the 1st version can do well if you use a powerful "benefit + curiosity" driven headline.

    Hope it helps,

I would not get too hung up on the look of your squeeze page.
I have one which someone said looked awful, but it does the job and my freebie gets tons of daily downloads and has gone viral for years as a result. Granted my page probably looks dated, but it works.
If you have the funds get hold of optimised press which will give you a nice selection of squeeze page templates.
