Trascripting Youtube Videos

Hi there,
I am going to open an educational site with some tutorials. So until I do some of my own, i was thinking of taking existing ones from youtube, rewriting all of the words they say into text, summarizing into an article and posting on my website along with the that video. In short i am giving the author a credit by embeding his video, and getting unique unindexed content for myself.

Please share your feedback.

You can fill a blog doing this, but instead of rewriting their audio script, you could add some insight of your own as to the video's contents and use that as the article instead. Would probably be just as fast, and certainly more original.

Also, don't be afraid to disagree with the content of a video because controversy works quite well to gain followers and comments on your blog.

    Thank you Marty S,

That what i was thinking actually. First I get someone to completely rewrite it, and then just edit myself and include personal comments, images and more. I would assume google will love this )

Good idea and could definitely fill up a blog pretty quick. You can break down the transcripts of each recording into multiple blog posting curating the content and offering your unique opinion like mentioned above. Then link all of those pages to the original "authority" post with the embed on it and your take on the entire video or the content as a whole. If you're doing SEO this will help you get traffic.

Just brainstorming.... as long as you have a plan to monetize the traffic you're on the right track!
