It's funny how I can get 200 visitors and no ad-clicks

Ad Sense is almost worthless nowadays. I think with so many websites using ad-sense people naturally ignore they are even there.

There are themes you can use that move the adsense blocks around so your readers don't get banner blindness.

Try moving the ads or try affiliate ads if you have targeted traffic.

200 visitors not clicking one day is not a big deal.

200 visitors not clicking every day means that your advertisement placement is probably bad.

      Or your site sucks.

The quality of your content and/or the visitors who come to your site and where they come from will also dictate your ad clickthrough rates.

      Could also be the niche

If your getting your traffic from Adwords, there's a few things you should think about before you start a rant.

    1. Adwords is going to send you Keyword targeted traffic. That doesn't mean people are in a buying mood.

    2. Your landing page may be the problem. Poor Ad choices and placement doesn't help your visitors move forward with their research.
An example of this is a page I landed on earlier this week. The page was talking about an MMORPG similar to World of Warcraft, yet the ads on the page were for Dieting and Travel.

    3. You may not have provided enough Information. This ones big, and most people just don't seem to understand. Someone visiting your website is like a customer visiting a local store. They go in to look around and see if they can find anything that can help them. If you don't ask the right questions, and provide the right information, how can they make an informed decision on buying something or going to the next shop?

    4. Last but not least... It's Adwords. If you want a conversion rate of 1-3%, Adwords should do the trick (once you've done some testing and optimization). If you want real conversion rates, you need to go to where your potential customers are, and bring them back to your website yourself.
Between all the big social players out there, you should be able to find all the buyers you want for any market. You just have to get in front of those people, and show them why your business is better than the rest.

They'll be looking to buy if you use buyer keywords.

Says the person who doesn't know anything about making money with Adsense.

My data from actual experience with Adsense over hundreds of thousands of visits tells me people do not "naturally ignore they are even there."

Google just paid me $9100+ for June Adsense earnings and they'll be paying me close to that again in 15 days for July ($8800+)...

So i wouldn't call that worthless.

Your problem is the amount of traffic you get. 200 visitors is nothing.

Adsense is a numbers game, and unless you're in the super high CPC niches, you need to do volume in clicks - and that takes a lot of traffic.

I chuckle when I see people say Adsense is dead or it doesn't work or it's worthless.

    My bank account says otherwise.

Please try adsense layout 2 from here - 5 Simple Adsense Layout Examples for Increasing Click Through Rates | Niche Pursuits and let me know what CTR are you getting.

But make sure not to use the horizontal link unit. You can also add infolinks if you are in a low paying niche.

It could even be that the site is too good. If people reach the site and find what they are looking for, why should they click an ad?

Think back to the heyday of MFA sites. The whole design objective was to make the design so ugly and the content so bad that clicking ads was the best alternative. If you recall, navigation was minimal and there were no other click alternatives. MFA pages were like squeeze pages - either do as the page owner desired or hit the back button, no other choice.

In fact, if you hunt for them, I'll bet you can still find some of the many threads started here asking how to disable the back button...

How long are they sticking around on your posts?
If you have quality material then they are more likely to stick around and click on your Ads.
Also look at the placement and ad sizes you are using.

you might have place your adsense on the wrong part of your site, try to add it on the top of your page or on the top left side part.
