how would you monetize a funny video site?

I have adsense and am thinking about doing cpa but what other ways could I monetize it? Also, you are aloud to embed youtube videos to a website right? as long as you don't download and reupload them?

    I would Give stuff away. There are lots of CPA programs that offer 'freebies.' Look them up in the CPA section of this forum.

        Good point. Zero to be exact.

        Kind of hard to monetize a funny video site. Unless you are getting serious traffic/visits. You could always try Social Media Buys/renting out ad spaces either monthly or per so many impressions.

        That is gold! I went through a lot of ads and surveys to see some of the most popular videos my family and friends were talking about. It's sometimes annoying though. You come in contact with it so much because it works.

          Duno... Personally I would never do that. If something starts annoying me on a website, I just close it and move to another relevant one from the Google SERP's.

    My thinking is that funny video sites are also going to attract the casual gaming crowd, you know the Blitz gamers, the casual app gamers (what I call the general time wasters, but horses for courses). You might want to check out Affiliaxe.Com as I'm always seeing their emails promoting new casual gaming affiliate opportunities.

    It's just like content syndication where you re-post a nice article and a link
    showing the author's piece.

      BTW, you can syndicate video embeds from YouTube RSS feeds right into the WordPress posts on autopilot. Even freeware plugins can do that. E.g.: WordPress › CyberSyn « WordPress Plugins

    I had a funny site years ago and it was pretty profitable. It would be for you as well if you manage to get good CTR. Use adsense layout 2 from here - 5 Simple Adsense Layout Examples for Increasing Click Through Rates | Niche Pursuits.

    Only make sure not to use the horizontal link unit. You can also add infolinks.

    Another thing - a low quality content can do as well as or better than a good quality one.

    Yeah you should def monetize it with affiliaXe.com for best results! I would try their Casual Games and freebie offers. Pin submit/email submit offers might also work...

    What you want to do is the create an ad campaign in their platform and pick many suitable offers to insert to this one link ad campaign an post it and let it rotate. very quickly their system will optimize and show the best converting offers more often to maximize your earnings.

    You can also put offers of different countries to that one link ad campaign and if you have visitors from different countries the campaign will show only offers relevant to the user's country.
