eBooks But I Don't Have A Kindle

I have started to write an ebook for specific niche which I want to try/test. However I dont have a Kindle and I have read in a number of places that creating a Kindle ebook is quite an ordeal. The only ebooks I read are PDFs.

Any tips anyone please?

There is a kindle for PC app/software.

There is numerous sites and videos out there as well they give step by step instructions on creating a kindle ebook

Check out Kindle Previewer. There are several other programs that do this also.

      Hey buddy,

I just published my first ever book on kindle. It wasn't overly difficult. All they ask is that you format it in a certain way, and upload in one of a few different formats, though preferably in Word format.

There weren't any overly tricky things. Give it a go - and buy a kindle - they're so cheap these days.

You can very much start, write and upload your eBook without a Kindle.

The most vital part is getting a tutorial on how to make a success out of
your new ebook since it's your first experience is very necessary.

I suggest you find the WSO of Martin P Kerrigan on "Kindle Day Job Killer".

Kindle books are great! You save space and the books are cheaper most of the time than a paper back book. I am now beginning to look into kindle market.

One thing that I don't like is the price point. If I were to write a 200 page book, I would want more than $2.99 for a copy.

But then yo don't have to find a publisher, ink and book stores to sell it.

Okay, I am thinking out loud again.

If you have word the formating is simple. I have a template saved on my word just for kindle.

But I am still knocking my noggin around about the content that I would write.

I am seriously thinking about writing short sci-fi series.

Just like Long Beach Nathan said, you can download Amazon's Kindle Previewer for free. That will help you test out your formatting to make sure all is well before you submit your book.

If you actually want to read Kindle books, you can go to http://read.amazon.com and login to your Amazon account. This will let you download books from Amazon and read them on your PC.

Like GetBack2it said, there is a PC app. Get that one. Also, get the previewer.

I create my book using WORD, and it looks super. Perhaps you can use Open Office or another word clone if you do not have any money. Word is great because I have people on Fiverr proofread my book before I convert it into a Kindle version. Getting paid is easy. Amazon does direct deposit to your checking account and they have an easy process.

Amazon gives away a free Kindle book called "Building Your Book For Kindle."

It really is a step by step set of instructions about how to format your book in MS Word, and turn it into a Kindle book. Just follow the instructions, and it works.

As others have mentioned, you can get the Kindle Reader software free from Amazon, for you computer, your table, and even for your cellphone.

    Download Amazon's Kindle reader software...

Creating Kindle books is not difficult. Write the book, format it using a tool or doing it manually. Outsource a cover or make your own and upload. Thats all there is to it.

I have published over 15 titles on Kindle, and only had an problem uploading my book on the very first attempt of my first title. I had tried to use a software to make the file pro[perly formatted for Kindle. Well, after an hour of headaches, I read somewhere you could simply upload it as a MS Word (.doc) file.

Could it be that easy? Yep.

I have had no issues ever since then.
