Warrior Forum is getting my knickers in a twist !!!!

Hi Guys,

Seriously this is doing my head in, so any advice would be gratefully received.

My domain is ♛ Give Me $97 to write your Landing Page and I can almost GUARANTEE you'll MAKE $1097 within 4 weeks and I put an Iframe redirect to TicketMaster. Now when I click on it it redirects to a WF thread??? To my knowledge I have not amended the Iframe at any time and if I did I certainlyt would not direct it to WF or this guys thread. Must as I love WF, I just wouldn't do it.

Please Note:

In NO way am I suggesting that the guy that started the thread it goes to, is anything to do with this. My domain just seems to redirect there.

I was however viewing his thread a few weeks ago and bookmarked it as I might be interested in taking his services at some point.

It must be something totally stupid that I have done, but I don't know how or why. I even have the original Iframe script in a notepad file on my pc, which I have checked and the redirect there is still to ticketmaster. The domain is hosted on Hostgator.

Can anyone help or suggest how this can happen, as it is driving me nuts.

I have tried to view previous versions of my site, thinking that this might give a hint as to when the change occured, but I can't even manage to do that, so any help on this would be great too.

Thanks

my domain is wwwdotbrixtonticketsdotcom I actually put the real URL, without dot in, above and look it's coming up with that damn thread again.

Helllllllllllppppppppppp

Go look in your cpanel and see if you've inadvertently set up any redirects,
    though I doubt you did.

Honestly, unless your domain was hacked (quite possible) I have no clue
    what could be causing this.

Domains don't just redirect by themselves.

Also, make sure your domain didn't lapse and that somebody else didn't grad
it and thus, well, you know.

      Hi Steven,

Thanks so much for your quick reply, cos this really doing my freakin head in.
My wife is on your list and she says you are a nice guy - LOL

I have checked cpanel and the redirect script has definitely changed and not by me. I have no reason to point it this thread!!

The domain is only 3 months old and I took it for a year, so can't have lapsed.

Should I change the redirect back to my original target or just bin it and move on?

Can I just reiterate that I am not suggesting in anyway that the originator of the thread I am being redirected to, has any involvement in this.

      Thanks

I would simply change it to what it should be.

Also, change your login info password. It is always possible that this
        was a hack job.

        Never rule these things out.

No matter if you did or didn't modify the index.php file, you need to actually
look at the iframe code to ensure you didn't inadvertently paste the WF url
in it the day you were viewing the WSO thread. Maybe you were working
on the index.php file and a system glitch placed it into the file when you
      book marked it...

Any way check the index.php file on the server to make sure your not
      chasing your tail.

      Have a Great Day!

        Hi Michael,

        Thanks alot for your response.

the index.php definitely does have the wf url in the Iframe rather than the ticketmaster one I uploaded. The only reason I noticed was that I was about to give the link to a friend to show an iframe redirect and then I found this. Good job I checked or I would have been more foolish than I am at the moment.

Is there anyway that I can get a date and time of when the change to the index.php was made? As that may give me something to check out?

        Thanks again

    ^^^

What Michael said. A mis-paste into your iFrame redirect is the problem.

Operator error is FAR more likely the culprit than "evil hackers", who in any case would not redirect your page to a WF post.

Careful QC of everything before making it live is the lesson here.

    Hi guys,

Thanks for your help on this. One last question.

In the index.php not only is there the redirect to the wf url, but keywords, content and CSS Stylesheet info etc. Would these be copied in on an accidental paste or glitch? Cos all I do is put the aff link in the redirect.

    Thanks

The only redirect command the browser will see is the one inside the iFrame command, which will look something like this:

    Code:
    <IFRAME SRC="**** YOUR LINK GOES HERE ****" WIDTH=100% HEIGHT=100% frameborder=0 scrolling=yes>
    </IFRAME>
Change **** YOUR LINK GOES HERE **** to whatever your link actually is.

      Randy thanks for this.

Just to clarify, cos this is something I am wondering about, how do the keywords and css style sheet get into the iframe. Are they automatically picked up once you put 'Your link' in?

I ask this because there is no way I would not remember putting WF keywords and CSS style sheet into my redirect script, or there is no way I could have mistakenly done that.

When I originally put in my ticket master aff link, it did not show keywords and style sheet for that link. I did also test and check it and it worked fine.

Not to worry really, now I know I can get it back to what it was, and if it was down to operator incompetence (which I am quite adept at) I am so surprised this could happen without my knowledge and with just an apparent slip of the finger. I am such a vigorous checker and tester but hey this one must have slipped past me somehow.

      Hello Metronicity

thanks for being a sport about it. I will have it changed back in the next couple of hours.

It was only a test site for me anyway. So I hope you made some money out of the 1 hit per month it may have got!! lol

BTW loved your wso, liked your style. Was looking at it from a different perspective of having a 'killer' covering letter written for sending out with a with CV/Resume whilst looking for work, was just a thought, it didnt go far.
