I found great information in some of these threads and it has inspired me to followup with an idea I had this morning.
My great idea (or not)?
I woke up this morning with what I thought was a great idea. But like many great ideas, they are often already out there. So, my quest is to see if my idea is any good and if there is already a something out there so I am not re-inventing the wheel.
I built a few websites and can do a bit of stuff myself. I am new to Word Press but am liking it a bunch so far.
Also if there are any shortcuts to getting this up and running, I would love the feedback.
I read a really good thread by John Taylor called "My $15 Membership Site Blueprint" Lots a gteat stuff in this thread. Perhaps you can give me some guidance on this one.
OK here is what I woke up with this morning.

I have been making hand forged jewelry for 33 years and I started selling it online a few years back. I sell at art show and talk to a lot of other artist/jewelers who would love to have another way to market their work.
I just started a blog to see if I could pump up the traffic to my site and after a month being up, I can see the power of Word Press and all its plug-ins.
I want to make a membership website that will allow other artists/jewelers to submit their own posts into this site for a monthly membership fee and a token fee for each entree they make.
What I want to have is:
1. the ability to upload an image and text by way of a form for approval. (not sure if WP can do this).
2. if approved, submit payment by way of PayPal subscription (monthly).
I thought that a non-refundable application fee would encourage only serious applicants and reduce spam. Not sure about this.
3. Each subsequent post submission will cost the token fee.
4. posts will stay on the home page for a month and then move to the archives.
5. Posts will stay active as long as membership is maintained.
Please tell me what you think is missing and if this is a good idea or not and also how much of this can be done with a Word Press blog and plug-ins.
