Cant find a product to promote to my list..... Should I create one?

So I'm planning out exactly how my sales funnel and email list are going to work, I'm thinking about OTO's and the main product I want to get my email list to buy but I cannot find any decent products related to ebay to promote. It kind of needs to be a clickbank product because PayPal closed my account so I cant really deal with jvzoo etc. I did find one book on clickbank which looked ok but the gravity was only 5.1. I was thinking about writing my own ebook and getting it on clickbank and promoting it though my list but it seems like alot of work and hassle as its my first ever attempt at email marketing. Don't get me wrong I'm not scared of hard work but I dont want to make life hard for myself but I don't want to promote a crappy product only to get loads of refund requests with unhappy customers who bought the book I recommended. If you were me would you create you own book or stick to promoting someone else's?

Thanks alot

If you have something interested and useful in mind, you can write something that is worth selling. With regards to spellings, grammars, and etc., you can ask someone else to check that for you.

Why specifically does it have to be about eBay? There is absolutely nothing wrong with creating a short report or tutorial yourself to give away to your list. It has the added benefit of being able to contain your affiliate links to other things too.

Always, always, always better to create a product for your list.

Higher conversions since your name is on it, builds more branding into yourself, and higher % of the sales comes back to you.

But its not easier, just better.

If you have the knowledge, why not you create a short report by yourself and you can place affiliate link inside the report. Getting your own product created has many advantages but there is a lot of works involved unless you are going to outsource it.

If I am you, I will look for a few experts and try to do an interviews with them. Once the interview is done, I will bundle up and sell it as a product. Just my 2 cents.

You can always use other ebay related PLR content to create your own product. Take a little from a few. At the very least it's a quick way to organize what you want your product to contain.

For sure, if you know about the topic then certainly create it yourself. There is usually plenty of PLR products out there in just about any niche though, but again, if you have the knowledge for something always try to create it yourself so it's unique.

    Did that put you off?

It shouldn't. I make most of my living selling ClickBank products as an affiliate, and for years, now, my highest-converting and best-selling products - out of everything I promote in all my niches - have all had single-figure gravities, and some of them lower than 5.1.

It's common, not exceptional, for products with single-figure gravities consistently to be selling far more copies than products with three-figure gravities, and there are reasons for that.

If you imagine that a gravity of 5.1 means "the product isn't selling very well", then you've perhaps misunderstood what gravity is, how it works and what it measures (as many people do). If it helps you, these posts will clarify all that.

Personally, I would (and I do) stick to promoting other people's.

Contrary to the popular and sometimes not-very-well-thought-through perception, I think that for most people, most of the time, their income-prospects are considerably better as an affiliate than as a vendor.

Here are ten of my main reasons for thinking that.

Thanks for your reply, I was already planning on creating a product to give away I was thinking more about a product to promote when they start receiving my emails

Always a good approach, I think - it's always been how I've found my "bestsellers". I'd hate to have to make a living from products which 50 other affiliates are promoting. Ideally, I want hidden gems that two or three super-affiliates are actively and profitably selling, and everyone else ignores. Unfortunately, selecting products to promote is really time-consuming, but it's undoubtedly a major income-determining step. If this helps (?) ... http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post2161932

The best solution would be your own content. Build and sell to your list or outsource the content creation.

You could also branch out into other niches. Am not sure clickbank has a whole lot of 'decent' products in the ebay niche
