Forum Question: How Do I Insert Multi-Quotes Into The Body of a Thread?

I apologize if this thread is in the wrong place. But this question has been bothering me for quite sometime now.

Is there a way insert multi-quotes into the body of a thread?

I know how to use multi-quotes to REPLY to several different posters. But is there a way to quote posts into a thread?

How do you do it?

Thanks in advance!!

Click multiquote, click multiquote, click multiquote... then click reply.

EDIT: by click reply I mean the large button at the bottom labelled POST REPLY.

No, I mean how do you quote someone's post within the content of the first post of a thread. Do you know what I mean?

Like if I want to collect responses from certain people and post them in the thread (in the original post), how would I do that?

I know how to reply to people using multi-quotes.

    Thanks.

  • Do you mean like this?
And then add another quote from someone else?
    And once more like this?

    Is that what you meant?

The only solution I can think of right now is to multi-quote every post you want to include in your new thread and then click on "go advanced" when posting a new reply, cut the text that appears in the advanced reply section and then go back to create your new thread and paste the text that you cut before.
Yes!! This is exactly what I was trying to do.

    Thanks a lot!!
