Best paid traffic that converts into profit?

I am going to be starting a website soon and it sounds to me like the best way to get visitors and ad clicks is to buy traffic. What is the best option out there?
Thanks in advance!

To me, the best option to buy traffic is renting ad spaces on popular blogs in your niche and ordering press release creation and distribution. This is high quality targeted traffic. It can't be exactly measured beforehand as PPC traffic, that's why it's a lot cheaper. You simply win on that if everything's done right.

There is no method that is considered the best methods as it will be dependent on how you tweak and test your marketing campaign. I think you will just want to start off with a proven paid advertising network and just stick to it. Good luck

What's best for some may not be best for you, IMO you'll have to test, test, test a little more, then top it off with some more testing. That's the best way to know for sure what works for you!

What is the best option out there?
This question is as vague as if I would ask: I need a combustion engine vehicle - what is the best option? I am not telling you whether is for taking me to the grocery store or hauling lumber or transporting oil or going hunting in Sahara... but I demand you give me the right answer: what is the best option!

(Now go back and re-phrase your question :p)

Maybe people want an engine that is good for all of those purposes :p

Check out Traffic Blackbook 2.0 by Chad Hamzeh. It's one of the best courses on paid traffic, and it explains how to use all of the major sources of paid traffic, like media buys, google adwords content network, facebook ads, etc.

If you're asking about methods of buying traffic you're probably already starting off on the wrong foot. The start of any sort of advertising is to evaluate and understand your market. Only once you have a good idea of your market does it make sense to look at the next steps. For example, SEO for some keywords might make virtually no sense because it's not the sort of thing someone is searching for. For example, if you were launching Twitter for the first time, no one is searching for that type of service so they needed to promote it in other ways. By contrast a lot of people are searching for mortgage rates so that might be a very reasonable thing to promote via SEO...except then you get into the issue of competition, which is extremely high for that keyword so again it doesn't make sense for most people. Step 1 - understand your market.

Once you understand your market the next question is to really pay attention to the offer, which is directly related to that particular market. In other words the message should be targeted at the market the same message won't work for all markets. Step 2 craft your offer/message.

Only once those two pieces are done should you start considering what methods will work best in terms of purchasing traffic. For example, one of my businesses is a spa. We might decide that one of our target market segments are men who are interested in grooming services. I need to recognize a few things about these people, they are typically neither too young nor too old, typically around 25-45. We're also very geographically centric because people won't drive far to visit the spa so that will shape our advertising decisions. Say we create an offer where the message is "girls hate guys with body hair, if you want to get a date get waxed, we're offering 20% off". Who will that message resonate with? Obviously, single guys so now I'm looking for single guys looking for dates aged 25-45 within the geography of my spa. What becomes a logical place to find those people? Dating sites, I can target their location, their age, potentially their income, and their gender, I can test a variety of different ad variations on a few different dating sites to measure the results between them (for example one might reasonably assume people who are paying for a dating service will make better customers than people on a free dating service, this is an assumption that needs to be tested but it's a reasonable hypothesis). But, if I just started out the process without understanding the market and the message I might say Google, or Yelp would be great ad sources, the problem is they aren't going to target in the same way and will probably be less efficient.

Study your market, marketing starts with market mastery!

That's probably the worst advice I've ever heard.
It's not an option for the beginners...
Generally the question is - What would you like to sell? A guide "How to sell your own product on WSO without any experience." ?
That literally doesn't make any sense.

From my experience promoting affiliate programs and products. I get great results using banner ads on popular websites. But the question is this!
How good your offer or website converts? You can get many clicks but if your offer don't work, you wont get much results. Remember, is not what you sale, is how you sell it.
