Getting the big traffic?

I've been working in the online arena for nearly a year and have had success in a variety of areas but regardless of what I 've been able to do it seems difficult to get a lot of traffic.

I understand there are a number of ways to build traffic for which I have worked on many but what is the strategies to take a site into the bigger traffic numbers such as 10,000 or more unique visitors per month? I appreciate all comments and suggestions.

    The strategy is:

    Focus focus focus! Try one source of traffic until you master it. Don't dabble in too many or you will never be able to track your results and know which traffic source is producing buyers.

    You need to drive traffic on a massive scale:

    1000s articles
    1000s forum posts
    1000s blog posts

    Keep working away each day - it will come but it takes time and constant effort.

      What does focusing on one area of traffic generation do to SEO? By getting links back all from article marketing sites won't that look negative to the search engines?

      Once you know paid traffic, the possibilities are endless.

    Hi,

    Don't stretch yourself TOO MUCH!

    Use your time wisely and make sure it's dedicated to something
    that can build traffic to your business.

    I can guarantee that there won't be someone sitting here at this
    forum with their feet up while the traffic pours into their business.

    You have to work at it but at the same time the rewards overtime
    can be fantastic long term.

    It's that old saying "The Snowball Effect".

    Just by grinding out little steps day by day eventually adds up to
    a marathon effort.

    Give yourself the time and respect you deserve and have belief in
    yourself that is a big one.

    Once you start seeing some results you'll never want to turn back.

    there is a thread here where someone reached over 1 million visitors per month after 18 months of consistent content creation and social marketing interaction.

    Acctually, it's all about creating content.

    As others have mentioned it takes patience and daily consistent action.

    The best way is to pick 2 traffic methods and test them for a month or two. See which one is yielding better results and discard the one that is least effective.

    Repeat this process with as many traffic strategies as you want -- but make sure you have mastered them before moving on.

    You only need 2-3 traffic methods to get the type of traffic you are looking for. YouTube, and solo ads are an example of 2 traffic methods you could try that could send you thousands of visitors a month.

    with that sheer volume of traffic i would suggest going into paid traffic like PPV and PPC because you can drive massive amounts of traffic through those mediums.

    Traffic can take more than a year, actually! Don't be disheartened. Keep at it. Pay careful attention to what you've done so far- what's worked well, what hasn't? Do more of what works well.

    Have you ever heard these words namely dedication, passion, patience, time, quality, action, persistence and many others? Well, that's exactly what you'll learn over time if you'll hang on with IM. It's hard, sometimes very confusing but worth it. It's not for everyone though, absolutely true. But nothing is for everyone, we are all good at somethings. Figure yourself out, make a small plan and act big over it. It works for everyone, you just can't fail! If you fail, that's a result. You can change results by changing your approach. Eventually, you'll get a winning result. Sometimes you might feel like uhhhhh I am done, but think again, being positive helps and do watch The Pursuit of Happiness movie. Hardships are there but how you react and approach to solve problems means much more!

    Paid traffic definitely.

    If you don't have any money though, start slow!
    Make your first hundreds of dollars before venturing into paid traffic and the bigger numbers.

    If you want big traffic, I'd go paid.

    I do think you can achieve it using free methods but it's going to take you a lot of time and effort.
