How do I get started marketing my new website?...What are your top 3 tips for better SEO and organic google ranking?

I've seen the keyword search software out there but will it work with a House Painting Business?..A better question,is KEYWORDS still the thing to focus on?

I've had my site up a month and have only received a few calls...Paying Google for ADs is pretty expensive for the return right now.

    You can focus on keywords, and because they're local keywords they should be easy to rank for, but the bad side to that is because they're local keywords the search volume is probably really low...

    Do you use craigslist?

    Putting up some craigslist ads works well for local services...
