Hub Pages: What Links Are Allowed?

Hi

I know Hubpages are slightly more strict than, say, Squidoo, but could someone just clarify what links are allowed on a Hub.

I know we can't link directly to an affiliate sales page, but can we link it indirectly (ie, domain forwarding)? Or, if not, what links can we have? Our own sales page (eg, own domain or blogger blog etc)? And also how many links can we have?

Thanks

I believe they are strict in terms of linking. Hubpages only good to link to other Hubpages only and to get traffic.

    Hello,

Hubpages will accept links but accepted links with nofollow attribute on your hubpage content.

    Thanks

I think you need to limit your links... or do not post links to same domain more than twice..

    Here's what NOT to do:

    * linking repeatedly to the same site within a hub or across many hubs
    * including links to a page that contains largely the same content as your hub
    * linking to products or services unrelated to a Hub's content
    * including more than 2 links to any one domain
    * short "teasers" with links to "read more" at another site
    * including promotional links on content that is unoriginal (i.e. not exclusive to HubPages); promotional links can only be included on content that is exclusive to HubPages

I've included affiliate links in my Hubs and had no problem - the main things I look out for are I don't link to one domain more than twice (that includes an RSS feed). I also use links sparingly in general - just so I don't set off any red flags. 1-2 links per Hub is all I normally use.

    Thanks for all your replies.

I wasn't looking to have more than 1-2 links per hub; in fact, I wasn't even sure if we could even have 1.

As for the type of links:

Can we, for example, have 2 links, which both point to our blog/review page (which has a review of a product we're selling)?

And if the limit is no more than 2 links to same page, can we, say, have 2 pointing to 1 page, and a third pointing to another domain?

    Thanks

Just for the Nofollow aspect stated above, you have a personal hubscore, and your pages have a hubscore, your links will be dofollow if your personal score is over 75, and the hubs links must also have a score over 40 as well. If either fall below the above, the links will turn into nodofollow.

Once you get some traffic to your hubs, you should be fine.

Just don't overlink to one domain, or extremely salely pages and you should fine. If it's not, the hubs will get marked overly promotinal and you'll be asked to fix them.
