Hi warriors

I use aweber as my autoresponder i have set up my follow up emails but want to send a broadcast to those subscribers who have completed the follow up sequence.

What segment do i choose and do you add the segment to the broadcast.

I'm not 100% sure about aweber, but with getresponse (which I believe is really similar) choosing which subscribers do or don't get the broadcast is one of the last steps before actually sending it....

Not sure if that answers your question, but I figured I'd mention it...

  • Yeah sure but if say for example i have 100 on that list and 75 are still on the follow up sequence how do i send just a email to the other 25 who are not receiving any emails to keep them fresh and responsive

I believe with Aweber you can break down subscribers by time joined so you can send e-mails to subscribers who are 3 months old or older or two weeks if i'm not mistaken I remember seeing that a long time ago but I don't use Aweber actively at the present moment. So you can just measure how long does your follow-up e-mails take to be accomplished and start sending timed e-mails.

In Aweber, make sure your current list is the list you want to segment, then click on the Subscribers tab and chose "Manage Subscribers".

In the "Select Field" chose "Last Message #" and then type in the last followup message number. Such as if you have 4 follow up emails setup for that list make the section look like:

    Last Message # is 4

Click the Search button and it will display all those subscribers and you can then save that segment as well.

Then create a broadcast and chose to send the broadcast to that segment.

Here is an image that shows what I am talking about above

    Craig,

How long goes your email sequence last?

If it lasts for 1 week then create a segment of subscribers who joined within the last 1 week.

If it lasts for 4 days then create a segment of subscribers who joined within the last 4 days.

When you go to send your broadcast email you simply choose the segment from above to EXCLUDE from your broadcast. That way all of the people who joined within that time period will not receive your broadcast since they are still going through your followups.
