How do I approach my ebook

So for quite some time I've been writing short stories and I have decided that I wanted to combine a collection of my stories and sell them online as an ebook. Unfortunately, I am very unexperienced and I don't know where to start. I have is the stories written out and saved on my computer but have no idea what to do with them.

Do you guys have any advice on where I should start in my approach to publish and market my ebook? I have heard good things about amazon and kindle but what would be the best option for my first time?

    Hey man,

    I believe you really should take a look at Kindle products.

    I myself haven't published there yet, but I know some people who are KILLING it with kindle.

    Search for Kindle on the forum, read what experienced users are saying... maybe, then, buy a WSO on Kindle. There are good products, amongst some not that great.

    Let's hope someone experienced chimes in, as well..

    When it comes to the writing aspect, why not try to find a common theme throughout the stories that will make compiling them into a single, marketable ebook a lot easier? If you have trouble finding a central theme, you might consider rewritting some of the stories in order to create a theme. Then the options are to create your own site, or use websites like Amazon, BarnesandNoble, or Payloadz. Personally, I prefer the option of selling it on your own website because, either way, you still have to market the ebook, if you want any sales.

    The stories I have decided to put together already have a pretty common theme that tie them together. My main concern is getting my book off the ground with the right marketing tactics.

      I have just finished my first book, mine is non fiction and has been in my head for so long. I am in the process of marketing so will let you know what works for me.

        Awesome, I was considering using a site like lulu for mine. I will have to let you know if I find success with it. How long is your book and how much we're you considering selling it for? I was even considering giving my first one out for free to build an email list as well.

    There are loads of gigs on Fiverr that can help you with creating a Kindle document and cover and all the necessaries so you can upload it to Amazon. Or just Google for something like 'how to create a kindle book'.

    You will get all the help you need by joining the Warrior Kindle Forum and buying Geoff Shaw's Kindling training.

    Collection of short stories are quite popular particularly as you say yours are on the same theme
