Hi there!
I am new posting in the Warrior, but i read you guys since a couple of months.
But anyway this is my first post.

I know, and i am totally aware that the best way to earn money via Amazon Affiliate is yo create a niche website, with my own address, etc.

BUT, i want to try some things.

I want to create a couple of affiliates sites, for Amazon and for Clickbank and i want to create it using blogspot (or tumblr).

I know some people did that and earned some money in the past, but i don't know if it works today in 2013.

So my question is bassically if anyone stills use it in the present and if they earn some money.

If you have the experience, please share it if you can

If you are using those sites just for hosting, you should be fine. But if you are trying to use them for traffic, you need to really brush up on your tumblr marketing skills. Blogger's internal traffic might not be what you're looking for.

I wouldn't build a business on a blogging site - you don't own it. Own your domain and host it for a start...

This sort of thing works but you need to create some unique content otherwise your traffic will be minimal as will your earnings!

It doesn't actuallly matter. Because even if they do, it's no more difficult or expensive to do it somewhere else where you don't need to take any of the risks you'd be taking by unnecessarily using Blogger or Tumblr.

If you need a completely free website, without paying anyone a penny for the site or the hosting or for a domain-name, then you can use something like Freehostia, or Byethost, or 000WebHost, or whatever. It makes no sense to use Blogger or Tumblr, where you can never own or control your own pages but can suddenly wake up one day and find they don't exist any more.

The reality is that there are only really four (partly overlapping) groups of people (in "internet marketing") who use Blogger ...

    (i) People who are unaware of the unnecessary risks

(ii) People who imagine that those risks are all problems that happen "only to other people" and that they'll be ok "if they stick to the terms of service" (this is, of course, nonsense but a lot of people believe it )

(iii) People who don't know that you can have your own reliably self-hosted WordPress blogs without even paying anyone a penny for the blog, the theme or the hosting

(iv) Very few people who still imagine that "they must rank well because Google owns Blogger" (seriously, there are still a few people who believe that - it's also nonsense).

It doesn't even matter exactly what the rules say, at Blogger: they're so idiosyncratically and inconsistently applied and interpreted that there's no point trying to decide these things "logically" or "reasonably". Even Blogger themselves openly admit that blogs are sometimes deleted as part of an automated process, without human intervention, when people (competitors?) "flag" blogs!

It doesn't really make sense to let any part of your business be unnecessarily dependent on a site you don't yourself own and control.

Thank you very much for your comments..
your thoughts are very similar than what i was thinking

I have a food blog with my own addresss, hosting... and is working with adsense

i was thinking just in testing some things (not related with my main blog), to try some affiliates like amazon.

But yes, you are right about blogger and tumblr
