I understand the value it provides to your customers which is a great benefit, but in terms of traffic - what is the power of blogging valuable content daily?

I understand that its a long process but I'm assuming its super targeted...

And I can use those same blog posts in forums, facebook, emails etc.

Would love any input..

Assuming you're talking about search engine traffic... The more articles (blog posts) you have, the more potential keyword combinations you will rank for (presumably bringing more traffic), and the more opportunities for others to share your content on social sites or other websites.

What is the point in duplicating your content over the internet? Blogging regularly will bring you traffic and yes you are right it is a long term traffic project. It should be targeted towards people who need what you offer - your free opt in gift for example, or helpful content for your followers.

Seven times the power of blogging valuable content weekly, and thirty times the power of blogging valuable content monthly.

    Obviously.

      Epically wrong.

Blogging... just for the sake of blogging is like talking - when you have absolutely nothing to say.

If the intended result is getting organic listing traffic onto his website, using his blog might be the last medium he wants to use.

If it's a competitive keyword niche, it'll take quite a while before Google perceives his website as worthy to rank ANY page high up in valuable markets.

      However...

Creating a thread, say on the Warrior Forum, could produce some natural listing exposure.

      Then...

People who click on to the forum, from Google, can take a look at his sig - if they're at all interested in what he's communicating.

That allows him to focus more on connecting with people on his blog - rather than aspiring for some sort of convulted, hot keyword mess.

      Blogging is for authority.

Yes, if you're RELEVANT for a specific keyword niche, you CAN get ranked on the first page of Google and get some highly sought after free clicks.

At the end of the day...

He should be focusing on manually driving people to a message that sells, rather than blogging everyday just to make a long shot dent in getting ranked on Google.

I've never tried blogging daily. But however often you do it, posting content just on your own site isn't really much of a traffic-generation plan. All that can ever bring you is some gradual search engine traffic (which maybe isn't quite what you want to depend on, to build your business?).

Now you're talking. Yes, you're right to publish on your own site first, of course. After that, attracting targeted traffic is about how widely you can get your material in front of the already-targeted people who are looking. You need to take your content to where your audience is. A forum is a good example of doing that (if you can find a targeted one where you can re-use your material for forum posts with an appropriate link to bring people to your site's landing page - not always trivially easy!). There are many other examples, too.

If you just blog about things nobody is searching for you won't get much traffic. Search out what is hot now or do reviews of other companies or products. Think about what you would do when you are searching for something. Provide what people want to see and you will get traffic. It is a long term strategy though. You won't get a ton over night it takes time.

    Why Blog daily?

Come on is that even a decent question. It is ESSENTIAL to blog occasionally. Why? Here goes...

Increased Traffic – By blogging daily, and posting useful content on your blog you will see very quickly increased amount of traffic.

We all know that search engines like dynamic blogs, but also you’re more likely to post something that people are searching for if you’re blogging on a daily basis simply due to the law of averages.

Increased Search Engine Rankings — Daily blogging increases your traffic because it increases your ranking on the search engines.

Establish Credibility — By blogging about your topic daily you will establish yourself as an expert in the subject and become a “go to” person for people who are looking for the information that you have to offer.

It Gets Easier – The more you blog, the easier it gets.

    Sounds simple right? It is!

Also, it wouldnt kill you to publish your blog posts in forums (several in fact) that are in the same niche.

    Your blog will go viral.

Good luck and keep up the daily blogging !!

Simply blogging daily will not guarantee an increase in traffic, let alone do so very quickly.

but also you're more likely to post something that people are searching for if you're blogging on a daily basis simply due to the law of averages.
If you're posting the same thing as thousands of other people, then that likelihood is infinitesimally small.

The important thing is NOT to blog daily. In fact several VERY popular bloggers, such as Jon Morrow and Derek Halpern point out the uselessness of posting daily.

The truth is, IT HAS LITTLE TO NO ACTUAL IMPACT on your search engine rankings.

The idea that spamming the internet, which already contains billions of articles and has millions more added weekly, will somehow give your blog a magic boost to first place in the finish lines is FALSE.

Concentrate on getting AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE to view, comment, share and like your content by marketing it.

FAR more important than simply writing more articles when nobody's even paying attention.

To some extent, I agree. But to increase search engine ranking, you post on your blog then re-post YOUR published posts in forums. You'll get massive back-links, that'll certainly BOOST your rankings further on.

If your content quality is good then you will attract viewers to your blog. of course you will have to share and promote your blog posts on social media sites, bookmarking sites and others. There are ways to automate the sharing to great extent.

Don't write content for the search engines only. Your primary focus should be to add informative content with the end user in mind.

Your blogs should answer a question, or solve a problem that is common with your target market.

If you blog daily about like, news, weather it may help in the long run but really serves no purpose and it's not getting you sales.

Discover your target market, find out what haunts their dreams, what are they searching for, when you can solve that your blogs will bring in a lot more traffic.
