target audience

scenario

Two types of product for 2 target audiences. the first is a product unto itself the second is also a product unto itself but also lead generator. The one that makes money is the first one, the second product is with another target audience which the prototype of which leads are being generated for , has been tested and liked

question - if the first target audience is making money ( or in a profitable niche which i enjoy providing for), but the second is the one that likes my prototype ( which is my eventual goal, also i enjoy providing for), which audience should i focus on building, first in order to build a following?

    If one is making you money and another is not, I would guess go with the one that makes you money. If they both make you money, go with the one that makes you more. If they both make equal amounts of money, go with the one you like to work with best.

    I'd stick to my eventual goal and what I enjoy providing for. I'd make that one earn me money. So, it's the 2nd one for me. You said that it's also a lead generator, right? I suggest you to capture those leads to be in your own email list, if you haven't done so. I'm sure you can earn money in the long run over and over again off a list which you enjoy building, plus great relationship because your subscribers like you. Hope it helps your consideration.
