Email Marketing Products on Clickbank

Just a quick question I'd like to throw out to you all.

Does anyone know if clickbank has lifted their 'embargo' on selling email marketing information products on their site.

I would email Clickbank, but from my personal experience it can take up to five days for them to respond to my questions.

I tried getting mine approved and couldn't so I just sell it on my own using
    PayPal.

They have a thing against list building and email marketing for whatever
    reason.

I have a product on list building and email marketing that was recently approved by Clickbank without too much difficulty, so I'm surprised to hear about this.

Michael Rasmussen and Jimmy D. Brown, to name two of what I'm sure are many, have list building and email marketing products on Clickbank, so clearly Clickbank allows such products. I guess it is just extra tough when it comes to quality control in these areas.

If you tell them your system complies with the can-spam act and promotes double optin, you should be OK.

I wasn't aware of the can-spam act but have just this moment read up on it on wikipedia here's the link for anyone reading this thread:

CAN-SPAM Act of 2003 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Interesting stuff, what struck me is that all the criminal convictions for the spammers took place between 2004 and 2006, nothing much has happened since.

Do clickbank now in 2009 insist on your product complying with the can-spam act before giving their approval?

Not that I plan on recommending spamming in any future ebooks I sell on email-marketing, but I'm just curious as to why clickbank puts so much precedence on a law that's been largely redundant, unregulated and generally ignored the last 2 or 3 years.
