Are MarketHealth.com products safe?

Just finished reading Brian Kindsvater's post about the legal considerations of promoting health products, which had some great advice regarding disclaimers and wording of health claims: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...lth-niche.html

I am considering branching out into consumable health products (pills, etc) so I'm wondering how fellow warriors go about ensuring that these things are safe?

Specifically, I was looking at products from markethealth.com. They claim they are a member of the 'Natural Products Association' but I can't find any evidence of that. I'm not really even sure what that means anyway.

My main concern is that the products either won't contain what is stated on the label, or will contain something nasty that isn't stated on the label.

So, do I order the product and take it to a government lab or something to be tested? Advice on the best ways to approach/investigate this would be appreciated...

    I don't know.

It's a question I never fully resolved, for myself, and I no longer promote MH products partly as a result of that.

There were only 2-3 of their products I felt comfortable promoting, anyway. I have a couple of MD's in my close family, and I discuss anything related with health with them before having anything to do with it as a marketer. But I don't think there's an objective "right answer" to what you're asking, here. Ultimately, it's all about "degrees of certainty" and what you're comfortable promoting. I think.

Thanks Alexa, I was hoping to get your input.

Yes, I am only looking at a couple of hand-picked products too. I am comfortable with the fact that they are beneficial, but of course that's only if they are the real deal.

For all I know at the moment they could be pills made of cement dust and coated with lead paint, lol. (Not really funny though, since I have actually heard of this happening! )
