Can you recommend software that does this?

I receive a client and I will input the client into a software.

On a click, I can generate an customized agreement letter that I can print and send to my client.

The agreement letter also allows me to print invoices in stages of the work, based on the agreement letter.

I will be able to track the stages of the job done also in the software.

Know of any commercial or open source that does the above and more?

Basecamp does a good deal of this. I would also bet that for a few hundred dollars you could do something custom (I did).
