We all learn in different ways, everyone should know that.

So how do you/did you learn IM?

(Be sure to answer the poll above)

I learn more by watching video tutorials. Videos help in taking action whereas with a pdf, I tend it bury it with the other pdf's.

As you said we all have different ways of learning.

We cannot learn by reading, we cannot learn by writing, we cannot learn by memorizing, we can learn only there is a burning desire and determination when even the language is not a barrier, environment and situations need not be in favour.

so before you start thinking of learning something, just consider "why". Why should you learn?

So best learning is possible by best knowing "WHY"

I learn by taking action! I do like to read though, if I'm watching a video I'll take notes and refer to them rather than we watching the video.

I tend to read much faster than most people talk, so it is the only way that works for me.

I learn by seeing someone do something. Video works great for me. I can also learn from a PDF, but video works best.

I learn by watching videos, writing notes on a piece of paper and going back to the videos as much as I want.

I like to see, do and teach afterwards... That's often when you realize whether you understood or not

I learn best by watching related videos of that topic while reading related articles on the internet.

I like all the channels, reading an ebook, but also watching videos.... but in the end, what does it help you if you know a lot but do not take action!! That's what probably most of us (including me :-)) miss... reading stuff and think this is interesting, I shuld try this when I have time... and then forget.... I would say we learn the most with taking action and also fail with things... that helps you understand why things work or do not work and what you have to change....

  • combination of visual and written instruction is usually how but I think we all learn best by doing while someone is instructing, hands-on.

You can learn things through many ways, but at the end, you must take action to make it happen.

I learn much better with instructional videos but mostly by simply taking action. Doing and making mistakes and learning from those mistakes is how I learn best.

Exactly, you may think that you've learned a lot by reading or watching a video but you don't really know what will work until you actually try it.

I practiced what my mentor said -- once I learn something I then immediately implement it and focus one that one task until I have completed it, or mastered it.

It is VERY easy fall victim to information overload, while also not having enough time in the day to accomplish everything you are wanting to do.

By learning one thing and focusing on just that until you move to the next part -- you will increase your productivity dramatically and see results much faster.

This option wasn't in your poll, but I learn best by hands on training. I mean with someone showing me what to do and walking me through it as I actually do it. As you can imagine, that makes learning things on the net rather difficult if no one else in the house knows how to do these things. I need a hand holder, haha!

So in lieu of that, I learn by repetition, doing something over and over and over until it is second nature, engraved in my brain, so to speak.
