Google is the best in terms of free traffic. A list and ppc would be what I'd try next, but these usually cost.

      Are you sure?

For every 1 visitor I get from Google I get hundreds from Facebook

Your question is a bit complicated with the Google in brackets.

For me the top traffic sources are.

    Google
    List
    Facebook/Twitter

    OK. I cheated with four

My top traffic source is the warriorforum

    No, seriously.

Google is very nice but as I sell WSOs my the warriorforum happens to be the best source of traffic.

Depending on what you want to achieve there might be other sources of traffic and one of the many sources is Google. It's a source of traffic that is well known but it is not always the best source of traffic.

My number one source of traffic is Facebook. Google is on the second place. And third place varies depending on the type of the page.

        I do that BUT...

Interacting and providing members with valuable info will go a LONG way.

I also tend to work in trades/offers with people I connect with.

If I see a guy that needs help with his content or advice...

And I own a content business...I'll PM advice for free.

That's 1 loyal visitor I'll probably have for life.

Find 5-7 forums and stay active on them.

50 regular visitors via a forum is better than...

5,000 visitors that come once and never come back.

with good offers and good sales copy. I love solo ads, they are so profitable for me. I use directories, I look in the warrior forum, pretty much everywhere.

solos convert very well, when you know what to do.

Every Solo Ad can be profitable given the right time frame and assuming that its a solid list that you are promoting to.

For instance if you are paying $0.50 per click and you only make $0.30 per click off of that on your first month then you need to be aware of what that traffic makes you for the next month.

The next month it might make you $1.50 per person due to a nice offer meaning you have now made a solid profit. Think in terms of the future in situations like this.

Thanks, I am unsure how a click can generate $0.30 one month and then $1.50 the next month. How can there be such a swing in ROI.

I didn't go into enough detail. Basically what I was trying to say was that if you pay $.50 per click and you only get an immediate $.30 back per click from some of them buying a OTO for example then it doesn't end there and you have to factor in what your average customer is worth to your business over months or years, not just what they are worth on the front end.

Assuming you have a solid funnel, give value often, and pitch great products that will help your customers then you can expect to make around $1 per subscriber per month. So that $.30 EPC that you were making on the front end is actually around $10 to $12 a year down the road therefore taking your $.50 clicks from a small immediate loss to a large ROI as the months go by since you can remarket over and over again to the same customers.

And as far as making an average of $1.50 per subscriber the next month that was just an example of what could happen if you pitched a great offer that converts well. I prefer not to say exact figures so those are just examples. There are way too many variables involved in email marketing to making exact calculations.

If you want to maximize your ROI though with your list then start sending them emails, giving them real value that gets them results and then occasionally pitch them products that relate to what you have been teaching them.

You will be building your trust and credibility and your customers will love you for it and want to return the favor. Just treat your customers like gold. That alone goes a long way.

I have several highly active fan pages that I use for promotion via posts. Facebook visitors make 60-70% of the traffic on my community pages and 40-50% on the others.

Paid traffic is my #1 source and Google isn't even in my top 10. Whenever I build a new business I always make sure it doesn't rely solely on Google.

Don't underestimate the power of forums.

Forums alone can bring you in lots of visitors and subscribers everyday. Am not talking about spamming, am talking about developing a strategy that will make the users click on your signatures like crazy. You do this providing helpful content first and then adding a smart signature.

Plus there's paid traffic. Id say dont wait for the traffic to come just buy it! Very important also to constantly improving your conversions.

      Free ebooks/pdfs.

          Hey michael, sure.

There are people who join this forum (and many others) just to spam their offers everytime to get some sort of attention and for this reason they get banned for life without even considering the fact that they are leaving a HUGE traffic potential on the table.

Instead, use the forums to become an authority and drive lots of traffic to your offers!

          How you do that?

Well you first CONTRIBUTE, HELP OTHERS, give valuable content away for free. If you start doing that they will start seeing you as a savvy member willing to help the community.

After you reached that level all you have to do is to intelligently add a signature to attract people to your offers.

You have to build some sort of trust before getting customers and sales.

So take some time to build trust and after that you'll see how easy it is to attract lots of visitors to your websites via your signatures.

Mine would be social networks. By the way, it has taken me MONTHS to develop those networks. Quality of content is the key.
Also another good tip is increasing your networks looking for people that also want to increase their networks. See more in my signature.

Google is one of the top sources of traffic.
    Email lists
    PPC

It depends on your industry if forums would work for you. If you don't find many forums in your industry, try guest posting, press releases, or Linked In groups. We've had success with businesses using Linked In groups when there were not any forums that their customers would frequent.

I use to get 80% of my traffic from Google, but it is 45% now. A lot of my traffic comes from blogs that talk about what I am doing. Yeah, there you go. Referral traffic is gaining. Google wants to send every one to amazon. BTW, amazon was down over one hour yesterday - guess they are over loading servers again.

-Facebook Ads or Google Ads (ramping up offers)
    -Lead Impact PPV

You have to work out what is best for you and your niche. Some traffic does not work and some does but you will find that people prefer different sources of traffic. This is partly to do with individual personalities. Do you like writing? Then try articles. Do you like creating videos? Then try youtube. Do you like helping people out then try forums. Do you like belonging to a social community? Then try facebook.
