Advice Please - Which Idea should I follow?

Hi All,

I have various ideas which I want to do, but I'm sick of floating round from WSO to WSO, trying something a little bit and moving on!

I would like some of your input into which of my ideas I should follow.

I'm fairly new to IM, and would like to know which would be best as a first "Venture" as it where.

Idea 1:

Build a website, in which I will sell services such as Logo Design, Facebook Covers, Twitter Designs, perhaps some FB Advert coupons etc. Just find services such as that, and sell them on my site.

Idea 2:
I have a domain, which has the keyword reviews in it. I was thinking of creating a website, in which I write short reviews on products, and then put an affiliate link in the posts to provide affiliate income.

Idea 3:
This is an idea in which I wouldn't know exactly how to implement, I want to find a product range, in which I could sell through WooCommerce etc, I have theme ideas etc.

These are my best Ideas in my eyes.
I'm very confused as to where to go.

Could you tell me your ideas, and how I should go about it?

Thanks alot all, sorry for the massive paragraph.
I'm not looking for 100's of 1000's, I just want a little income online.

Again, Thanks all !!

It's a good idea but in a very competitive industry. How would you create this products, would you be designing them your self or would you be outsourcing?

This idea could work but don't count on getting ranked because of the domain name. Google are moving away from ranking exact match domain names.

It could could still be successful though if you write good content and implement strong SEO.

This is also a good idea but it would take a lot of work. I'm assuming you'd want to drop ship rather than ship the products yourself, so there's a lot of things needed to be done in order to set up the site correctly.

I think you should firstly ask yourself "How much time do I have to contribute towards this project?"

Then research each idea a little more and see which one fits in best with the amount of time you can spare. Then see where you are

    Hope this helps,

      Hi Joe

Thankyou very very much for your time. If I manage to get rid of my Tech website (sell) I could put quite a lot of work into the site.

      Answers to your questions:

1 - I would be outsourcing the Products, but I already have sources sorted, so I could launch and already have services to provide.

2 - I'm pretty good at SEO, managed to get a site from 0 visitors, to 700 a day in 3 months.

3 - This was just a rash idea I had as I'm getting frustrated going round in circles.

I appreciate your time, which do you think would be best for me? As I'm only new to all of this online stuff. I'm good at building websites and SEO, and enjoy it very much so would put time and effort in.

      Thanks again

I think it could work well if you're only looking to make a little extra income.

Would you be offering custom designs or pre-made ones?

Again, it could work well but it all depends on how much competition there is for your selected keywords and how long you're willing to wait to outrank these.

A good tip is to ask yourself "Could I write 50 posts related to the subject of my site?"

If the answer is yes, I'm sure along with dedication and good SEO, you could make some OK money from it.

This is probably the biggest out of the three depending on how you are going to work your first idea (custom or pre-made designs).

E-Commerce is a very complicated thing and it's takes a lot of work to be successful in it.

There are some major things to take into consideration before jumping in the deep end.

As a good resource/guide, I'd recommend an ebook by a man called Andrew Youderian who is very know in for setting two big e-Commerce sites.

The guide is called "Profitable eCommerce Guide" and to get it, you have to sign up to his list but I feel it's well worth it and it might help you decide whether or not e-Commerce is a viable option for you.

Here's is his site: e-Commerce Fuel

        Hope this helps

          Hi Joe

          Thanks again

I will be doing completely custom designs, with variations on pricing depending on a matching profile pic or not. Etc.

I think the eCommerce one is a step to far for me, so thanks for clarifying this.

So its either Option 1 or 2.

For option 1, I could outsource many different products like this, design / seo and services to offer.

For option 2, I already have writers in place that I could easily switch into this website to produce alot of articles.

So based on this, which one would you go for?

Providing designs and services, or writing reviews and hoping on the Affiliation ?

          Thanks

I can't answer this for you.

Since the first two options are things you could do, it's really up to you to research now and find out which one appeals more to you.

Remember one thing, it's YOU that's going to have work on these things. If you take on something that you're going to have trouble spending the time working on; Well you're basically asking to fail.

Since from you've said, you're happy with either. All I can recommend is that you choose the one which sounds more fun and like something you'd be happy to spend time working on.

Good luck with your new venture and let me know which one you choose

Hope I've helped you and have a great day!

    Or follow this:

Idea 4 - get into online lead generation. Collect leads by doing PPC. Big markets, high payouts and you only need leads, don't care about making sales...

    Hi Joe

I really don't know which one to go with though. I'd put the same amount of work into both sites, so that isn't an issue.

I already have a domain for the review one, but from what I've seen Amazon conversion is terrible for me, 156 clicks and not a single commission? Whats up with that.

Which is making me sway towards offering services, but in my eyes thats more limited than the affiliate site.

Can you now understand my confusion and why I'm asking for advice?

    Thanks Joe, appreciate it.

You think that now, it's surprising how fast that motivation goes... I've been super pumped about things before, not long after I started, I realised that I didn't like a certain element of it.

      Motivation = Dead....

It's interesting, I'm only just getting into Amazon Affiliates as of recently. I'd have to say it might be worth creating a thread about that and calling out to some Warriors who more experience in that field.

I don't think it would be limited, I actually think there's more possibilities for it than the review site.

The problem you'll get with that site is conversions, lots of people outsource jobs like the services you'd be offering (logo design, Facebook cover design....) on places like Fiverr and Elance.

There's also the big name pre-made design companies out there such as ThemeForest & Creative Market.

What's going to make you different? That's the golden question here.

This is where it's up to you to decide whether or not you want to be successful.

You can make money through both the ideas you said, you just need to take action on one of them and stick it.

Once you admit that Internet Marketing is just like any other business where it takes hard work to become successful, you'll develop a whole new mindset towards work.

It's better you learn now where you still have a choice to choose which direction you want to go in instead of finding yourself in a position where you can't be bothered to work on your project because you don't like it.

Due to that, you then become skeptical on whether or not you can actually make it online or not.

Before you know, two years have gone by and you still have yet to do any major work...

Trust me, I'm talking from personal experience

    Hey Joe,

I've made a thread here, it's a step-to-step guide and it worked for many people. Go ahead and check it out and ask me on the thread should you have any questions.
