For me personally, I'm investing more into "solo
ads" today then any other paid traffic source.

However, I've been testing them for
a while and have been going back to
the ones that give me the best results.

I have spent thousands on solo ads....and I agree its a good way to make lots of money.

However its a BUYER beware, as you can get really skinned doing this, and I hve made the most money from solo ads that I put alot of research into first. Just saying. Too many people go out and buy a few solo ads from the wrong peole and they get diddled BIG TIME! nowadays I buy them privately and off well respected warriors and other places too.

There is an underground solo ad club too, but I am not going to discuss that here. But these guys are killing it with solo ads.

The moral of the story is as long as you do your research first, and invest you can do very very well later, especially if you funnels are good too.

  • Article syndication, PPC will always get you very targeted traffic, if you set it up right.

I've heard solo ads are popular and effective, but I've never used them.

Plenty of ways to still get "free" traffic, but it will cost you a lot of time. Just keep trying different stuff, figure out what works best for you, and keep doing that. Everybody's comfortable doing different stuff.

But, just to name a few:

      youtube
      article marketing
      social media
      craigslist
      email list
      forum posting
      blog commenting
      guest posting
      ppc
      media buying

heck, depending on your niche, you could walk around town and hand out business cards.

The secret is that there is no secret. Just keep trying, and find your own unique formula.

While paying for traffic can bring you fast results and faster traffic -- You can still generate thousands of visitors through free traffic.

Kim Roach, a girl who owns a 6 figure a year business, wrote that her dad is generating 14,000 visitors per month with FORUMS! All he does is post once a day to the forum.

Some other methods I would choose would be YouTube, and Article Marketing.

What is it your sites are selling?

I ask because buyers from different traffic sources will convert differently - some products will do great with PPC but perform horribly on social media, or vice versa.

Before you explore PPC as an option, run your products through the calculator and see if it would even be profitable. There's a good chance it won't be.

Guest blogging is a great way to go. It depends on your niche, however. If you're going after travel blogs or home design blogs, it's very difficult to be successful and it's not cost-efficient. If you're in the SEO/marketing niche or very interactive, smaller niches such as preparation, you can be super-successful.

I think that's probably true, in the sense that you're either paying with money or with skills/effort/energy/time.

In all the time I've been a marketer, and in all my unrelated niches, I haven't yet found anything at all that compares with the targeting and profitability of article syndication. (I'm including guest blogging in that, too - it's only a specific form of article syndication under another name, really). It isn't only "how much traffic" that matters, it's "how responsive, how willing to opt in, and how willing to buy", too.

I gave up SEO long time ago.

Turns out it cost me a lot of money.

There are free traffic like forum traffic, video traffic (If you can make a video yourself), article syndication and guest blogging, etc.

Paid traffic: PPC, PPV, solo ad, banner, facebook ad. If you do it right, paid traffic can give you very targeted traffic.

Choose one that you like and master it. Don't try too them all at once, you might lose a lot of money and time.

I've been working with Facebook fanpage and facebook ads recently. Not really very expensive and I can direct hundreds of people to my blog simply by posting the link on my fanpage. I used fb ads to build my fanpage audience.

I'd also make sure whatever traffic you're sending to your website that you're capturing them in a list.

You can actually get tons of "free traffic" from traffic exchanges, but if you want massive convertible traffic, go with article syndication. This method is not free, however, I have found that when the expense of article production is leveraged over a wide enough selection of niche-relevant publications, the cost per targeted prospect becomes virtually nil. IMNSHO, article syndication has the greatest ROI of any other marketing method, and unlike other methods (ahem ... SEO, ppc, ppv, social media, solo ads, YT, media buying, etc) it becomes even more effective in the most highly competitive niches. But, I could be slightly biased.

You're right about its effectiveness, but don't discount the ability to be as effective, if not more effective, when using Facebook or banner placements in highly competitive niches.

I've used and am using Facebook both free and paid to kick open the back door of highly competitive niches and make bank with them and same with banner placements.

I haven't personally tried Article syndication, but I know it works and works well.

However I know what I do works very well too.

So it's all a matter of what you can get to work for you and what your preference is.

Well, Jason, I did say that I am a bit biased towards article syndication over any other form of marketing. Perhaps it's because I've had astounding success with it for over 16 years now. Actually, it is so powerful that for example in offline print advertising, FTC regulations stipulate that an article format must have a prominent disclaimer at the top saying that this is an "Advertisement".

Besides, in some of the more competitive niches, there could be hundreds of thousands (perhaps even more) of relevant online/offline publishers for article syndication. Apart from being a form of free advertising in top publications with highly targeted audiences, there is a subtle but very powerful aura of implied endorsement by publishers to their readers. Advertising (free or paid) doesn't have anywhere near such leverage. This simple, relatively inexpensive marketing model consistently beats the competition all-to-hell. Try it sometime.

I second this suggestion. Google + and google hangouts are the latest and greatest. You have to realize that Google is competing with the other social media gurus with both of these, so, they will get HUGE attention in the SERPs because Google owns them and wants them to succeed.

In every way that you can, own your own landscape. I guess some people would call this "VRE" (virtual real estate). Write articles and put them on your site. Start your own Wordpress blog. Start your own forum. Post your own videos to your site as opposed to driving a ton of traffic to Youtube, and building up their site. Some may disagree with me on this... oh well.

There are thousand of way to marketing your website, however many of them used by spammers. So I think PPC is the best way to grain traffic and lead forever. For better website engagement blogging is the best way. You can add a blog section on your website which will provide always updated content to search engine and increase search engine crawling and indexing rate. This blog also increase your website traffic. You can also use social media and online business event marketing.

No there is no such thing as free traffic. Either you pay it with money or you pay it with TIME. I believe that Time is the most important asset that anybody may have in Internet Marketing.

Take for instance social media, it is said that Pinterest is becoming one of the best sources of traffic, and though it may be free to post in there, you will still have to spend your time producing content. Quality content takes time, and if you do not have the skills, you will still need to pay for it.

I have been looking at Facebook. Although it would seem to be a place to advertise, there are many people that create pages, make posts, and earn money with affiliate programs. I have purchased a couple products by Don and Dr. Ben and they are really well written. I think FB and social websites are the trend of the future in regard to getting fast and consistent results, things that are not typically associated with SEO unless you do video marketing.

With few exceptions, in my experience there has never been such a thing as free traffic, you either pay with hard work or with money (what requires hard work if you are not lucky). After many years working hard to get that so called free traffic from SEO or social I'm ready to move to paid traffic : now I value my time over anything else including money (anyway time is money) and if I can't get back at least what I invest it is a clear signal that I'm doing something wrong.

Solo ads and PPC are not the way way to build a business by any means. This most of the time equals out to a bunch of untargeted people that are being spammed beyond all belief by every internet marketer online. PPC works to a certain extent but once that person clicks how are you convincing them to stay an engage in your community?

You should worry less about traffic and worry more about keeping the traffic that you already have. Run a/b tests and start gaining conversions.

Also a great way to start gaining more traffic is to meet more people by going to conferences and meeting people on warrior forum. Some people won't talk about your product but some will its just a numbers game. If you keep networking and building links from real high quality sites eventually the search engines will be forced to keep up.

Social media is the best method in my opinion. Simply because #1 it's free, and #2 you get a lot of traffic from it as long as you have a decent number of followers and you share your content often, and #3 it's very easy.

PPC isn't necessary for getting traffic. Because now in 2014 there are so many different ways to get free traffic. You just have to find out where your target audience is and share your beautiful stuff with them and they will appreciate it.

    Hi,
You have many choices in terms of getting targeted traffic. The best of all is solo ads. Just think that this type of traffic opted in someones list at least one time which means that they are interested in what he offers
    Some other choices are
    ppc
    ppv
youtube - It ranks easier than websites in google
You just have to try! If you choose free methods you will put some effort but if you rely on paid methods you will lose some money in the beginning.
