Important Lesson When Using PLR Content

Well, I learned an important lesson today about using PLR content and why it is so important to carefully review the PLR content before you use it! I got PLR to an awesome report that I reviewed and went through and than made it available to some of my members.

Apparently one of the links inside the report said one thing and linked to another thing. So it was a link to a PLR website and it had the URL displayed there as the clickable part of the link, but when you actually click on the link apparently it was sending them to a porn website. I was blown away that it would do this.

So the lesson I learned is to not only look at the links, but also click on the links to make sure they are going where it says they are going. I fixed the report and resent it along with an apology e-mail so all should be good, but it is still a very embarassing situation because for all they knew I wrote the report.

You have made me laugh today that is for sure. I have come across this many times before as i regular use plr stuff for my niches.

Whatever you do you cant escape the porn thing. Take twitter for example i seem to get all the porn people following me and the more i block them the more they appear!

Thats nothing, a co-worker of mine recently sent a potential JV a porn link when trying to give him a link to the product. He hasn't lived it down for weeks.

He never heard back from the JV (it was on skype) and he is still a little shell-shocked bless him.

I've always been paranoid about cloaked links sending me somewhere dodgy - now I'm ten times more scared to click (even if I should test them first)! :-)
