What else is in non PPC advertising?

Hi, this is Max. I'm looking for good paid ways to promote a blog. I'm interested in everything worth EXCEPT for PPC.
What I'm already familiar with is:

Buying ad spaces on blogs

Solo ads

Press releases

Buying reviews

Buying CPA

Paid classifieds

Am I missing something? Any more solutions? Ideas? Thanks.

Solo ads are very similar to PPC, most solo ad providers go on a per click basis...

There's PPV which is pay per view...

What do you mean by buying CPA?

I mean becoming a vendor on a CPA affiliate network and paying affiliates per free sign up they refer.

I would suggest guest blogging and blog commenting.

Guest blogging is a great way to "borrow" targeted readers and also have a quality link pointing back to your site.

If you have the budget and access to the skills required, banners on very targeted sites can still work well. If your budget is limited, you can check out Facebook ads and - believe it or not - Adwords content network.

With banners, you pay per exposure, also called Pay Per View or CPM rates. (CPM refers to the Roman numeral for 1,000, so 'cost per thousand exposures').

Depending on your ultimate offer, your best bet with these is to pique curiosity, and follow up the click with some type of opt-in offer - a free download, trial, some type of SaS on the landing page (like a calorie or loan calculator), whatever. Your objective is to get their contact info and permission to use it for follow up on your real offer.

You'll have to watch your numbers and stick to your budget. Enter an open-ended agreement with a network that has millions of exposures in inventory and you can burn a lot of cash very quickly.

Sounds like a great solution, thank you very much.

Guest blogging is a bad option to me. Of course I can buy articles for it but there's no guarantee of acceptance. If I hire a guest blogger or pay a guest blogging service it's costly, not profitable. If I do it myself - it requires a lot of work and time, instead I can rent an ad space on the same blog for something like $250 per month for example and get a lot better traffic.

As to commenting, does it really bring traffic?

I have submitted guest posts written by a writer and 95% of them were approved. As long as its long enough and of quality , it will be fine.

You need to use free advertising methods -

To start, if yo have a blog, is create a youtube channel.

Then you need to do forum marketing, and just produce content for youtube, and the forums you interact with. I posted a lengthy thread on free advertising you should check out.

You might want to try out ezine advertising where you will be able to get email traffic. There are some Companies that offer Ezine for advertising and it is not as expensive. I will go to Directories to Ezines to get access the list of ezines.

There are some Ezines that also accepts articles. Instead of guessing what kind of content they want, I will simply just ask the owner what kind of content he need. Just my 2 cents.
