Default Can't Figure Out How To Put A DVD On My Site - Help!

Hey everyone,

I have resale rights to a product that contains 5 DVD's on a seminar, and I'm in the process of creating a whole sales funnel for it.

I have everything available for download on my thank you page already...except for the videos from that DVD (I have the physical DVD)

My question is this:

What's the best way to get it from the physical DVD to my website, while not having a gigantic file size and being available for most people to use?

I'm thinking maybe flash...but I can't figure out how to convert the files from the DVD to files that'll play on my computer.

This is killing me and I can't make the site live until I get it done!

Your best bet is to outsource to a outside company (eg. Kunaki), to manage and handle the fulfilment of these DVDs. A DVD can have up to 4.7GB of data on it, and besides possible taking a while to download the contents of one (not to mention 5!), your bandwidth allowance that comes with your hosting plans may get blown out of the water.

This leaves you free to focus on your main important activity ==> marketing.

It's not that tough, and there are some things you can do to reduce bandwidth consumption too.

When you say DVD, are they playable on a DVD player, or only on a computer?

How are the DVDs broken up? Is it just 5 movies that are 2hrs each, or are they broken down further?

If they are playable only on a computer, what is the file type?

It's roughly 5 hours total. Each DVD is roughly an hour long.

Well I already have it made through Kunaki, but I'd much rather do it digitally at first. I'm gonna do some pretty ballsy offers, and don't have the stomach to do it if it was physical Plus figuring it out how to automatically have it handled through Kunaki is ridiculously confusing.

They're playable on a DVD player. 5 movies roughly 1 hour each.

One thing I forgot to mention is that since I have Vista, it works with like friggin nothing. Ever software program I try has some kind of error.

(I can't wait to get a new computer...Vista has made Microsoft lose a huge customer for life)

I'm thinking of just shipping the DVD's to someone, having them make the files for me and just sending me everything lol. Might be easier for me!

GiveawayOfTheDay.com offers today a DVD Converter that let's you convert your DVD into other file formats . I cannot say something about the quality of the program, so you need to read the reviews. Maybe it will help you.
