Are 4 letter .net and .org domains valueable same as .com ??

I am aware of the fact that 3 and 4 letter .com domains are very rare to find and have a good value. I just want to know - Are 4 letter .net and .org domains are also valuable ??

It doesn't really mater what extension you have.

I have ranked a .us domain in United kingdom.

stop wondering about the domains and focus more on content and backlinks strategy.

use a lot of social media sites like fb, twitter, Google+, rebelmouse and web 2.0 sites in your backlinking strategy.

My belief is that the .org is better than the .net..
    but not 100% on that.
And it all depends what you want to do with the website in the end.

All extensions have the same value. An info domain with great content is more valuable than a com domain with a crap content.

That depends on the particular domain and what content if any is on the site.

I'll always go for .com or .org. For me, they rank better. Don't enjoy that kindda ranking with .net especially .biz though.

If you are buying these domains for re-sale, then .org would be more valuable then .net, but less valuable then a .com

For SEO, this has been debated for years, but the general consensus is that you can rank any extension, which I am sure to some degree is true. Where a lot of this comes from I think is that the public are more geared to click on .com's, due to psychology and that being the first major extension we were ever exposed to, its like people trust .com's more then other extensions.

Everyone seems to be going for .co at the moment - there are plenty of other alternatives as well.

The ranking power of those TLDs may be similar, but the potential resale value of .com sites is clearly far better than any other, it is the defacto standard in a great part of the world, someone says to go to Amaon and anyone in the U.S. knows to try Amazon.com.
The top ranking sites are most often .com domains, probably in part because the owners invest more heavily in the development of those sites with the premier name.

Org and Net not domains have similar values, strictly org is intended for organizations but are not regulated like Edu domains, you probably are best using an Org when you want to give the impression of being some sort of institution.

Just checked the top 74 domain names, which all resold for $1 Million or more, they are all .com names. Top domain sales

As far as rankings go, it makes NO difference. As far as reselling goes, it makes a BIG difference. Businesses will pay substantially more for a .COM than any other TLD. Also, .COM is a much easier sell. The numbers are there to back up both those statements.

I saw many .net or .info ranking well on search engine. It doesn't have to be .com.

Like others said in this thread, if you are planning to resell the domain, then you might want a .com.
