Looking for a fast, stable and reliable VPS host, any recommendations?

I have shared hosting with hostgator
It was good for a long time but recently it became slow, i am looking for alternatives

    As Joel tells us- If you host your website on Bluehost, HostMonster or HostGator, your site is probably down or experiencing issues."and I'll still stick with host gator for the time being they are just suffering some growing pains

      well... I can not handle HG "growing pains"...
      sick and tired of that, looking for something faster and more stable, but with good service, at least as good as HG's, even if it will cost a bit more...

      BTW, I forgot to mention: it must have a cPanel...

    Same problem with HG. I had cloud hosting recommended to me in another thread. Apparently the guy selling is slicing up rackspace loud hosting and renting it out in smaller chunks (you still get the rackspace management). I have spoken to the owner and he seams really helpful so I'll be switching my hosting over.

    Upside: Cloud hosting starts at $5 a month
    Downside: No cPanel

    All you need is a good shared host. EIG (Hostgator, etc) wasn't good. Know all shared hosts are not that bad.

    Arvixe is fine. I've used them for 2-3 years now. They just recently upgraded the hardware for some servers, and support is always fast and knowledgeable. Neither of those things would happen at the EIG brands, with old hardware and slow/dumb support. It's one of the anti-Hostgator brands I suggest most. That and two others.

    I think that Beyond hosting would be a good choice, but it would be wise to buy from an affiliate to get a 50% discount for the first six months.

    Just Google Beyond hosting discount and you should find what you're looking for.

    If you're looking VPS with cPanel and fully managed, you might need to have more budget than the shared hosting plans.

    Fast, Stable and Reliable VPS hosting providers that I've experienced and still using are WiredTree and StormOnDemand (Storm SSD Plan).

    P.S: They're not cheap provider and you get what you pay for.

    Currently, testing out cloud hosting / unmanaged VPS at DigitalOcean for 20 days. During these days, there is no issue so far.

    I'm with rapid vps at the moment on their $35 per month plan. So far it's been a good experience. Customer service seems to be very helpful (when they pick up the phone) and server speed has been reliable.

    Also if your doing something MLM related I hear their one of the safer bets to go with which is actually why I switched from Godaddy to rapid VPS. Way cheaper too!
