Which is the best way to deliver an ebook?

1. Do I sent them to a download page right after the payment?

2. Sent then an email with the download page?

Or

3. Sent them the ebook attached in their email, with the information, and no download page?

I've used a couple of methods that seem to work well.

The first is to send them to an opt-in page to get the book, thereby putting them on your list. Either send it to them in an introductory e-mail after they confirm their address or send them to a link to a download page.

*You must tell them they have to opt-in to get the book and to expect e-mails from you in the future on important matters.

The second is a direct download page. This seems to work best when you have multiple methods to your products, such as video, audio, e-book, etc. Be sure to make it either password protected or superduper stupid secret like http://...../honkeybuttcrazystoopid.html

Never do 3 unless it's under 1mb, and even then that is risky, not everyone will have a large email account.

I think sending them to a download page right after the payment is the norm these days.

I have had both an email and being redirected to a download page after payment at the same time.

    Personaly preference I think

      Hi,

Number 1 is the easiest to implement and
the easiest experience for the customer!

I back #1 all the way!

I've been doing #2 with my ebook and it works fine. E-junkie is a good company to use for it. This is also the safest method of delivery. Only the buyer can see the download links in their email. You don't have to worry about protecting a download page.

I've just started using Nanacast - then I put the ebook and other items inside a membership site. It actually works pretty good.
