Test Purchases Through Paypal

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi guys! I'm working on getting ready to launch my first product through JVZoo and I used their test purchase link. I tried 6 times to purchase it through a credit card and not my paypal account (because you can't pay yourself through your own account). After a long wait with paypal customer service I find out that they've been going through major training on this issue and are now really cracking down.

How do you all handle test purchases? This is all new territory for me so any suggestions are welcomed. I tried using my husbands name but since we have the same address I guess it flagged it too.

PayPal Sandbox is the usual way to go for me..
Although the last time I tried, I couldn't figure it out.. I couldn't remember how I did it years ago..

It'd be nice to have a tutorial on it..

Just as an FYI, guys, and after spending about 8 hours with Paypal I learned that the $0.01 test purchase through JV Zoo no longer works because its "not enough" to split up. So, you have to change the price of your product to a nominal price, say $1.00, and then make a real purchase to test the delivery, etc.

Frustrating Sunday afternoon..........

  Just for future reference, you can always buy one of those prepaid visa/master cards, you just have to make sure you "register" it in order to use it online. When you register it, just use a different name, address ect, and you'll be able to test purchases to your own account...

I thought about that, Vinny, but do you just use a bogus name and address?

Motivatingminutes-a friend's account won't work with the $0.01 purchase either.

Why does it have to be for a penny? A friend buys my $27 whatever, and then I refund it back. No big deal.

Don't forget that PayPal "does" allow you to have two accounts. One business or premiere and one personal account.

Works like a charm when you need to do some testing.
