Default Articles > PowerPoint > Video > YouTube -- A Wise Move?

Hey there

I am considering having someone take my articles and convert them to instructional/informative PowerPoint slides, which I will then convert to video and upload to Youtube.

Is this a wise move? Or.. does Youtube frown on it?

I think it's a VERY viable idea. Here's why:

Video is a darling of Google - so videos seem to rank very strongly.

There is also a LOT to be said for offering your materials in different media formats - that way you'll attract a broader audience range. Some people like to read - others lean toward listening and other still like to watch and learn.

I say - 'Full Stream Ahead'

It's a very good idea, and Youtube should have no problems with that.

You're offering good video content in powerpoint form, so I really doubt Youtube have anything against it.

it is a good idea... throw one more step in there though. After you have the PowerPoint, upload it to SlideShare.net. I have been getting some good rankings on SlideShare and it is a dofollow link.

Hi The Oilman,

No youtube does not have a problem with that. And instead of the tedious procedure I actually have an even better solution for you.. there is a way now to automatically do this for you in just one click of a button.. there is no need for powerpoint, etc and it will even do the voice-over for you. But I don't want to create a lot of hype just yet so here is a link to try it out yourself here. It is a direct link to the software to directly sink your teeth in and create your first article video with graphics, animation and a full voice-over in just one click.. like you have mentioned in your original post.

The software will even distribute this video to 15+ video sharing websites like YouTube, Metacafe, etc in a single click! People have been getting some great results and you can read a few success stories of this approach in my WSO link in the sig.

Kind Regards,
Navneet

Create Video for your article with voiceover, animations, all the graphics and submit it to 17+ video sites without leaving your desk or touching a camera in 3 minutes flat!

I've heard of using Powerpoint, but haven't tried this method yet.

You can try out a software that will convert your articles
right to video, with Article Video Robot

If you get the powerpoint method working,
let us know your progress. Good luck.

This is a rather easy way to do this, instead of using youtube, using one of the video uploading service, like tubemogel, you can put links into your descriptions, and publish to dozens of video sites at the same time, it's a great way to reuse content and get one of the biggest audiences possible.

Make the videos really easy with camtasia, and then use traffic geyser to pump them out to over 30 video sites once you're done.

I do it all the time but also (as has already been suggested) often create an audio that I also upload to podcasts sites. I also sometimes create a pdf version of my articles which I upload to a few sites that seem to love PDFs.

I use my own software at Top Search Engine Marketing Submission Tool - Get Listed In Google, MSN and Yahoo In Days With Our Easy Push Button Traffic Software to do the d
distribution of everything except the PDFs.

thanks. I actually used camtasia studio to convert the file to avi video. the avi video looks nice, however, after I upload to youtube, sometimes, it shows artifacts. I guess it is normal and because of youtube?

use article2video dot com, to convert textual articles into videos, then create powerpoint and upload to slideshare or 280slides dot com to share presentations.

Repurposing articles in this way is very powerful and I have made a small fortune doing just this. One good tip is to sprinkle nice "Hero" shots using cheap stock photography and add in some nice title graphics for some professional flair and give your videos more credibility.

Consider using Tubemogul (free) to distribute your videos to many networks.

One thing to note though (and this is a mistake a lot of video marketers do), don't just putting up videos and hope for conversions as this is not a very effective technique as many video marketers will testify.

With the right techniques you can create a funnel of visitors from your videos to your website and get some very high converting traffic.

The main problem with a lot of video marketers is that they treat it like the "Field of Dreams" and hope that if they publish it, there will be a flood of visitors.

In reality there is a lot more to video marketing than that. Once you have the right techniques, it is very simple and very effective.

All the best

Sean
