New on Email Marketing, how to face it?

First of all... i know n00bs are not really welcome, because people think that they are going to ask about method and other stuff, or that people want to use them in his favour but...
Well, as the title says, i decided to start on email marketing after a lot of hesitation.
I'm going to buy a domain and build my squeeze page to start.
But i have one big questions, where i search my leads?
-Solo ads?
-I start to blogging or something to catch them?
-Other ways?

I dont want to ask about your method or blah blah things, i just want to learn along the path, but i'm wondering if someone would be able to answer me some questions, or help me on my journey, because i have a lot of doubts.

If someone is a spanish speaker, i would be really thankful to talk with him.

Thank you in advance.

My advice: Leave your misconceptions at the door about what others think about you as a beginner. What you think and what the reality is are often markedly different things.

You've decided to build a list? Good! It depends on what you're budget is and how quickly you want to build it. Paid is obviously the quickest way for someone starting out, especially when they don't have an existing list to leverage in any way.

Solo Ads can be good. Track and test to find out which ones work for your campaign and which ones don't.

Blogging - Can be good if you already have an audience otherwise in reality it's actually a lot of work to build a presence (but it can be done).

Think where people go to learn about whatever it is you are offering or teaching - there is your answer. Good luck!

Online marketing is a steep learning curve. If you're willing to do what it takes and stick with it you will do well. There are a lot of places to learn... It depends on what market you're in and what products you have to sell. Solo ads can grow your list quickly but you must lead with a high converting offer to cover your advertising costs.
I would choose my first offer, build a squeeze and sales funnel and then test the product before expanding your sales funnel to upsets/downsells etc.

    Good luck!

I have found that Facebook is a good way to generate leads especially for email marketing. If you are just starting out then make sure your campaign if dialed into the specific group or avatar that your targeting. In other words if your marketing to a football crowd then posting something of value to a Football group may gain subscribers.

Blogging can take a little more time and effort and you might not see the immediate results of your work. This can be a little more frustrating but it can work for you.

You took action to start marketing to a list that was the hardest part. Hopefully you see some success with your efforts.

I have about $50/70 to start, including domain and hosting i think i will have about ~$35.
I'm sorry but i dont know what is a sales funnel, and what do you mean to test the product. And what are upset/downsells? I didnt found a lot of free information about it and how to manage that.
So, what you recommend to start building the list? Solo ads? Because i dismiss blogging i think that if you haven't any starting traffic it's really difficult.
There are free ways to start building it?

      Thanks for all guys! ^^

P.S: You know some cheap solo ads?
      P.S2: Any realiable solo add?
P.S3:And, now i finish haha. When you publish, and then you start to have suscribers, you send them a SLO ( self liquidating offer ) and you break pretty even.. Then, you start engagin a relationship... when you monetize it? I mean, you can't bombing them with e-mails in order to have them comfortable. What ways you have to earn money ? You can't promote every week a product .. I think.

    hi, kristian

this is one post from my blog on e-mail marketing, and the subject title is e-mail marketing 101!!!

Having a solid email marketing strategy right from the start will help you get better results much quicker. As with all aspects of your business, some planning can pay off big. When it comes to building your business the "throwing it against the wall to see what sticks" method is not generally the best way to go.

Finding and using a proven method for generating more people on your list will allow you to get the most out of all the traffic generation techniques you use.

First of all you need to have a thorough understanding of who your target audience is. What is their average age? What is their gender? What are their interests, where do they hang out online, what do they want? Finding out all of these things will be a little time consuming but if you take the time to do it, you will be able to provide them with just what they want, and that is the ultimate secret: find a hungry audience and give them what they want. Talk about easy.

So, once you know who your target audience is and what they want, you can craft all aspects of your email marketing strategy. Start with your optin enticement. What are you going to offer your website visitors if they optin to your list? Hint: it can be free but it must be something that they will consider of high value to them.

Most people give away a free ebook or ecourse. As long as it provides your target audience with something that they would really want to have it should work just fine.

OK, now that you have gotten them to optin to your list, now what? Well, now you want to continue to give them what they want. Take your ebook or ecourse and expand on that. What other knowledge do you have (or can you easily find) that will benefit your list? Put that together in bite size snippets that can be sent out in emails on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

Now that you have identified the people you want to target, you have figured out not only what to offer them to sign up but also follow up emails that just keep on delivering. Now what? Well, from that point on you just have to keep delivering. Every once in a while you can send an email that promotes a certain product or service (one that you will get paid for if they buy).

Be careful though to not abuse the people on your list. An occasional sales pitch is fine, but it must be occasional and you must provide real value to your list in all of your other emails. Doing it this way will go a long way to keeping the people on your list happy.

If you follow all these tips you will be able to establish a sound and profitable email marketing strategy. This isn't theory, it's a proven method for turning more of your website visitors into paying customers and keeping more of your customers for a lot longer.

    Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has some helpful advice for me.
I did business with a leads/ Solo ad company called "exact Data Consumerbase" and ended up owning a list of 32,000 people who are not opted into my list. It's not the best of situations and I can't just abandon this list. I'd like to extract the most out of this list before throwing it out or recycling it.
I can't just 'plug them into' my Getresponse campaigns since they're not opted into any of my offers.
I've put together a squeeze page with a free offer and a contest to attract and entice as many of these people into opting into my list. but my problem is this: how do I send out a couple of mass e-mails to all 32,000 without a big company like Getresponse or Aweber? I figure 5 - 10 deployments to my offer should extract the 3% - 5% who might be interested in my offer?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Any way of bringing traffic to your squeeze page is ok. Solo ads are more expensive but very good at getting subscribers. You can start with free traffic bringing ways and move to the paid ones in time..

Email marketing, in my opinion has a large learning curve. You need an autoresponder, squeeze pages, followup messages that do the selling for you. If you do not have experience doing this, a done for you marketing system might be the way to go for you.

    Hi,

You are far better off planning the economics before anything else.

How much is each customer going to be worth to you etc.

Are you going to be able to afford to buy traffic?

How well does your funnel convert etc etc.

Start with the bigger picture then test your funnel until you know
you can buy leads at still be in profit or break at the front end.

Once you know you can do this...

    ..Scale up and FAST.

That allows you to build a massive list in super quick time.

Hope this clears the cobwebs my friend.

    Regards
    Gavin

As i can see, you mean that ihave to start with free traffic?
I think free traffic is hard to earn, and specially sell them offers because they are not in a mentality to buy your product.
You know any free sources of traffic?

      Thanks all for the responses.

P.S: i was thinking on safe swaps, but to swap you have to have a big list.

You can get plenty of free traffic from facebook and other social networks, if you know how to do it properly. You tube is also good for traffic, but agian, you would have to learn a method and put it into action.

Start buying solo ads on Safe-Swaps and you will get more subscribers. After it you will be able to swap within the same site with the same members, already knowing lists with responsive subscribers.

Why would you think that? I'm new here and I have only had a lot of help and nice replies and I have learned a lot in just a few days. Just don't go too personal (like in "how much do you make?") and I think all will be fine.

Aunque a ti no parece que se te dé mal el inglés, ¿no?

There are a ton of ways to get email addresses for your list. Create a short reports and put them up on squeeze pages. Get 5 free reports that you can use as is on your squeeze pages at incomenow.org.

Buy likes on facebook and use a squeeze page to get them onto your list.

    Solo ads work well. etc.

Sell a 100% commission product on JVZoo. Integrate GetResponse, and have an instant list as you get JVs to send out for you.

Once you get a few people on your list, do list ad swaps.
