Getting Paid to Take Surveys

Has anyone successfully done this? Which website do you use to get the surveys? Is it worth it?

I have being seeing a lot of ads for these things. I need money ASAP so I would be down to mindlessly fill out a few surveys for it.

I am not sure if this is the right forum. It does say, "Where we talk about making money," so I assume it is.

Most give you gift certificates for Amazon instead of actual money. Back years ago when I was a noob I signed up for these. To this day, I still get sent surveys and then send me $5 to $25 amazon gift certificates 30 days after the survey.

If you have a ton of free time and your value of your time is around... $3-4/h then sure! Otherwise its a big waste of time.

Just going off of what my sister's experience was. Maybe I'm wrong...

but then again I have NEVER seen a post with someone going "Omg, filling our surveys is amazing! Now paying my bills!"

I've pretty much only heard negative things.

There are just many more productive and worthwhile ways to spend your time. I'm with Nick, I've never heard anyone shouting from the rooftops about paid surveys. Obviously more reputable companies such as Amazon are going to deliver on their promise with regard to surveys.

Most of them are scams or a waste of time. Many of them offer prizes rather than cash or points to redeem for prizes. Worthless.

Never tried it myself, but think you must contact the firm and wait for reply....1-2 weeks.... I don´t know !

The only use for them I can think of is maybe if you're stuck in an office job and your boss isn't looking. You're already at work, and that survey money might be enough to cover a tank of gas...

Well, I am in the minority, but I don't think they are a waste of time. I do them, about 30 minutes a day, and tend to make pretty good money. Admittedly, I happen to have "good" demographics in terms of what they are looking for, but you can make money with them.

That said, there is no one "best" site...they key it to be with a bunch of good sites as some you hear from daily and others may go a few months in between.

On average, I get surveys from about 35-40 different survey companies each month and tend to make anywhere from $600-$1,000+ doing them. Clearly, if I limited myself to doing surveys with just one of those sites, my earnings would drop significantly.

i have signed up with worldofpaidsurveys.com and paid them as well .
they have sent me the list of legit survery companies.need to sign up with these companies and they will sent surveys as and when they get. Well the list was over 200 compaines and i did sign up for like 10 and i after a few days i got like 2 surverys each of like 4$ each.
I didnt bother.
There are legit ones but you got to spend like 1 hr to get lik 6$ filling up surveys. I can give you this list of companies if anyone wants..

The only people who like online surveys are the people who are marketing "how to make money with survey sites."

Yes, you can make money or get gift certificates. As noted, the per hour equivalent is horrific.

There are probably a few lucky exceptions here and there, but those folks I know who gave it a shot invariably walked away disappointed.

If people were raking in the cash with surveys, the refund rate on those "how to make money with survey" products would be A LOT lower...

Yes - you can make money from surveys. It is easy - however, you get paid about $2 or $3 for 20 minutes work.

I was able to earn through Brand Institute surveys and Global Test Market although my earnings in the latter was through points only.. These two are legitimate survey websites and I assure you that.. Look into ezines about paid surveys and you will find out which sites are really legitimate.. It's where I found these two sites..

My daughter's experience with surveys was that there is more money in getting people to sign up under you to take surveys, than there is in the surveys themselves.

I went that route too, and I have to agree with the majority here that legitimate companies do exist, but the overall earnings are not worth the time investment.

While I make some money promoting surveys, I make a lot more on the surveys themselves (90% of what I make is on the surveys themselves and about 10% of that total is affiliate or referral earnings). That was actually how I got into promoting them. That said, I am always the first to say that it is absolutely NOT a sure thing for anyone.
