Video Module Creation

I'm building a membership site. I've decided to use short video modules to deliver the training content. I will basically be converting info-product ebooks that I have written into a video format. Each chapter will be a separate module. Seeking ideas for the best method of creating these video modules. What programs are the successful internet marketing gurus using to create and deliver their video content on their membership sites? Also should I host the video modules on my own site or use Amazon S3?
