So your cut is 30 cents per sale? Good grief... unless you can easily sell massive quantities of them every day, what's the point?? Sounds like a huge waste of time to me.

Look into affiliate platforms for digital products (ie ClickBank). Lots of products there in the $37 to $67+ range... most offering 50% to 75% commission. If you're going to spend your time and energy promoting something, you might as well make it worth your effort.

Actually, there are a lot of very smart people doing exactly the same thing on eBay. Any marketer worth their salt will know the initial sale is only a starting point and most are even willing to lose money on the initial sale if need be. The true worth is in the lifetime value of that customer.

I remember a guy who used to sell guitar strings on eBay for much cheaper than everyone else. So naturally he attracted most of the people looking to buy guitar strings. He would of made little to no money from selling those guitar strings. In fact he probably would have lost money.

But when you bought the strings you were then sent his newsletters about guitars and all other sorts of much more expensive guitar related equipment.

Waste of time? Me no think so (if done properly).

You could probably buy the cables yourself from dhgate or alibaba and make much more than $0.30 per sale.

I wouldn't bother with cheap stuff like the cables, but ebay stores take %30. They don't mess with really cheap items, either.

When I sell stuff for people, I take %50, but that's before fees, so it's more like %35. The difference is- unlike those ebay stores, I guarantee my customers a certain amount. The listing is done by someone with a proven track record (and their own personal feedback on the line).

When I was a ebay trading assistant I charged 25 percent and for a 3.00 cable I would probably of charged 30 to 35 percent.

Your already doing it, so if your making sales then I would go for it. 15 percent after listing fees on a 3.00 cable is not much profit. Especially if you have a bunch of relists.
