i think you should send an email to clickbank just to be sure...ive seen website that use the name...but i have also had a friend that got sued by paypal for using their name in a domain. so just to be on the safe side...you should send an email to ask for their permission

Definatly email them first and get written permission.

When you used a registered trademark in the domain name it seems that the owners of that trademark can seize your domain name, sue you, or both.

Having said that, Clickbank are easy to get along with, so if you ask them for permission they may give you the go-ahead.

    It's always best to ask!

    cheers

Don't do it, I know of people who have had problems with clickbank doing that,
it is better to use cb like almost everyone else does

    Hi Colleen,

I would recommend PMing the resident Warrior expert on Clickbank.
    Warrior User: Harvey.Segal

He has a Clickbank based forum with Clickbank in the name.
    ClickBankSuccessForum.com :: Index

He pretty much knows the answers to a whole lot of Clickbank info.

    I would ask him.

    Hope this helps,
    Sandy

I don't see any reason why not especially if it is a clickbank related product that you're marketing, On the same sentiment, you have google nemisis, manipulator, assassin and on and on.

Just because Google tolerates it (or hasn't enforced it yet) doesn't mean the same is true of Clickbank.

I would use CB + whatever words describe the product. That way I wouldn't have to worry about their opinion (which could change, even if they intially gave you permission).

This is how I have seen it .... my world is a little skewed sometimes but I'll tell ya anyway

I bought a domain with the name ClickBank in it and then thought if I only use that for free content then there may just be less chance of them getting too upset.

Then I bought a domain with just the CB in it for my product and have that as my money page... So now I drive traffic from my blog to the money page.

Doesn't make it correct or incorrect but it's just how I've done it..

If you're going to promote that domain on Clickbank.com then you CAN'T use Clickbank in the domain name.

You'll have to use something like CBxxxx.com

              Regards,
