Customers buy brand or buy products?

which is your opinion about this statement: "nowaday, customer buy brand rather buying products? Could you explain it for me? Thank all

    I don't think that is any more true today than it was 20 years ago.

    Companies spend lots of money to build their brand. Sony was it for a long time, now its Samsung.

    However, today people can do a lot more research and comparisons than 20 years ago. Although there are people that faithfully stick to certain brands, there are plenty of competitors that are every bit as good. The internet has increased the quality and amount of information, especially with all the reviews available.

    If anything, I think the "product" is more important nowadays.

    The truth is people buy both.

    Some people obviously might be more influenced by brands and others by products.

    and even then you could take any one person and in one area of their life they are a loyal brand fiend. For example, someone might be totally loyal to Ford and never, ever buy anything else. But when it comes to a laptop computer they might think all computers are the same so any will do.

    Probably not the answer you want but it does depend on the person, and it does depend on what they are buying.

    I think a more important question is, "do you want to be seen as a commodity and have people make their buying decision based upon price, or do you want people to make their buying decision upon the trust they have in your brand?"

    It's true, and applies to millions of products out there on the market right now. That's why when I start up a Facebook page for a line of affiliate products, I don't make individual pages for each one I create the one page and promote each product on that page. It's the same with eBooks too, people will buy if they know it's from a reputable marketer.

    Still most of the people are looking for good quality products though Brand names create some kind of panic among them. But good quality products are the foundation of a Brand. I will say people are still more concerned about product than brand.

    Not all people were created the same. Some go after brands and are willing to pay premium for that. Others will go for cheaper non brands products.

    That is why as marketers we need to decide in advance which market we are going after and create our messages for the market we go after.
