I have some steps below you can take with $500 that will yield you results.

    1. Do research on what you want to promote. ($0)(2-3 hours)
    2. Once you find something to promote, then create a free 10 page report and give some content that is closely related to that offer you want to promote. You can outsource this too! ($100)or (3 hours) Get an ecover too. ($5 on fiverr.com)
    3. Outsource a web designer to design a nice squeeze page for you. ($50-$100) You will need to list benefits and a call to action so they are inclined to buy. check out this post: http://www.warriorforum.com/articles...eeze-page.html
    4. Put it together to where a person will sign up to get your free report and they can download it after they sign up. ($30-$40 to have someone do it for you)
    5. Outsource someone to create a 7 day email follow up to up-sell the offer you want to promote ($100-$250) or by yourself (5 hours)
    6. Go and buy a solo ad from someone with a list in your niche ($40-$Expensive) This is and will probably be the most expensive but will yield you fast results. You can find someone in the warrior forum. Just ask around.
    7. Rinse and repeat.

It will cost you something like $500 to get a good amount of subscribers and sales. Very cost efficient. All you have to do is drive traffic via solo ads, ppc, seo etc.

I forgot to add, you can outsource most of the stuff above to fiverr.com for $5 each.

    I hope this helps!

Hi dunc. I was hoping you could help me. I noticed your posting under invesiting $500, etc

and I was hoping you could answer a couple quick questions as I am following what you are saying but not sure I have the full gist of it.

      1. Do research on what you want to promote. ($0)(2-3 hours)- GOT IT

      2. Once you find something to promote, then create a free 10 page report and give some content that is closely related to that offer you want to promote. You can outsource this too! ($100)or (3 hours) Get an ecover too. ($5 on fiverr.com)IE so if i am poromiting bloggin, internet marketing through wordpress, simply a 10 page report on this?

      3. Outsource a web designer to design a nice squeeze page for you. ($50-$100) You will need to list benefits and a call to action so they are inclined to buy. check out this post: How To Create A High Converting Squeeze Page what do you mean by call to action?

      4. Put it together to where a person will sign up to get your free report and they can download it after they sign up. ($30-$40 to have someone do it for you) so If i were to do this on my wordpress site simply put together a plugin to be able to download after signing up or something like that. or maybe that and a side/seperate site just to sign up? Your thoughts?

      5. Outsource someone to create a 7 day email follow up to up-sell the offer you want to promote ($100-$250) or by yourself (5 hours) simply follow up with them via email if they want to sign upm pay, etc?

      6. Go and buy a solo ad from someone with a list in your niche ($40-$Expensive) This is and will probably be the most expensive but will yield you fast results. You can find someone in the warrior forum. Just ask around. buy a solo ad? not sure what this id for or to do?

Regardless, thanks for your assistance. I am really digging this forum, it's nothing short of amazing. As a green internet marketer if you can suggest any other articles here that you think i really need to read up on, please do not hesitate to share.

I have been a marketer for 20 years and just got into internet marketing a few years back, but nothing to the scope of what I have read on this forum int he last few days...

$500 is not much money but it is!
If you ask me, I would create Facebook fan page around the product, create Facebook tab inside the page pointing them to your offer or squeeze page or where ever you like.
      Till now expenses are:
      • Domain name $10
      • Hosting plan few bucks monthly

Then will create Facebook add pointing right to the Facebook fan page timeline.
So you have around $450 to spend on advertising but you can get thousands of targeted likes if you set up well your ad (audience, interest, ages, country).
Imagine what you can do with all those members... I have few ideas in my mind and is exact what I do for most of my campaign!

This is a good idea, although if you haven't made much already then you may find it hard to sustain the income after a while. If I were you, I'd invest it into making an affiliate site and making money from there. Or you could try make your own product and invest some of the money into making an amazing looking sales page and for solo ads.

I have two pieces of advice and have sent you something through PM, as well.

One, concentrate on the long term with blogging. Blog everyday and get yourself the long term traffic solution set up.

Two, invest in Facebook advertising and solo ads. Then, when you start making money, re-invest at least 20% of it into more paid advertising. This will give you the instant traffic solutions.

Good idea, if the blog is set up properly and you're willing to pay someone to create new content regularly.

This is bad advice IMO, its where many newbies get burned. You would be much better learning the ropes, build a blog that can make money and understand the industry, a better investment.

Or go down the list building route ...a wiser choice IMO

      Hey there,

My suggestion is you can also buy or bid for a website that offers online services that suits you best based on your knowledge and skills. Maybe this way you can own an online service website for less than or almost $500 of your budget but once you established this, your $500 investment may triple your earnings. But my advise is that you should also check if the website is well established with a track record of earnings that you can scale it up more than the earning of the owner/seller of the online service website. You can check out websites like flippa for available websites for bidding.

      Right on point.

You have to start where you are at and build from your strengths. Define exactly what your strengths are and how you are going to provide value to others through those strengths because it's pretty hard to do this IM thing with consistency and focus if you hate what you're doing.

Plus, if you enjoy what you're doing, you're making an investment. If you're just following someones "make money method" and it doesn't work or it's too difficult and you give up, you've just lost money.

Decide if you want to invest in yourself and your strengths or if you just want to gamble until you "make it." Either way, get clear on what you want (your end game) and who you want to work with...and you'll be on the right track.

The best is to buy an existing business, but one time investment of $500 may not help much. There can be monthly extra investments. As long as you make money, i don't think you need to worry much

Create a simple sales funnel and start building a list of subscribers.

Test your landing page/squeeze page until it converts like crazy.

Use a high converting affiliate offer to put behind your free offer as
soon as someone opts into your list.

Keep testing to improve your opt in rates.

Set up a simple email series to out to your new subscribers around
    5 - 10 emails.

This will build a relationship with you and your subscribers.

You want them to know, like and trust you.

Use tracking software to track all your conversions.

See what is working and when you find a winning formula you
can scale up your business and run with it.

This will allow you to build a massive list and make front end
    sales at the same time.

NOTE: You must test your landing page conversions to make sure
that what you spend on paid advertising adds enough leads into
your system for you to make back that investment or even make a profit
at point of someone joining your email list.

Testing is key here you must know your numbers.

You can then create your own products/services if you like and build
    your business around those.

I think this is by far the best way to build a real business and income at the
same time as your list will pay you again and again if you do things in the right
    way of course.

Sorry this is bit vague but you can find more detailed ways on how to build
a profitable list here at the forum.

$500 is more than enough to get you started as long as you can get your
conversions to break even or make you a profit at the front end of your
    sales funnel.

This opens the gates for you to be able to build your list a lot faster than
using just free time consuming traffic methods.

    Numbers allow you to measure.

    Use them to your advantage.

    All the best

You say that you want something legit and already have some blogs up that make you money. That should tell you that niche blogging is a legitimate opportunity (and perhaps the most common way to make money online). You just have to get better at it. Not only will this require that you increase your knowledge but most importantly that you put out more content.

    My 3 step suggestion...

1.) Learn to create custom sales funnels

2.) Build a list using the sales funnel so you still turn a profit

3.) Become a solo ad vendor

The problem with affiliate marketing is it becomes saturated very quickly and even if you have a unique sales funnel everyone and there grandma has seen Empower Network, and honestly I think it's crap. They making EN2 because these affiliate programs only have a life span of 2 - 5 years so they're trying to milk what they can.

Solo ads aren't going anywhere and I think it's also the best traffic source, so good luck on your adventure.

I think it's better to practically fail with those $500 rather than paying a mentor. You might want to try finding an already built site for a few hundred dollars. However, make sure you do buy a good site. Buying bad sites won't help, you might want to learn how to buy good sites and not fake bad PR low traffic sites.

The primary and generally evident showcasing technique is by utilizing internet search engines and directories.
As the business is aggressive, the best way to assurance exceptional position for your picked decisive words is to pay for it. For a huge mailing record, you might need to put resources into list manager or comparable sort of programming.
There are likewise organizations like mail-list.com that permit you to put a little list online for a yearly expense of around $100. You can go for building a landing page, and use PPC and Solo Ads to drive targeted traffic to your page so you can build your list. As you have $500, you should first use small amount to test out the services and afterward contribute increasingly as you identify which ones are more adequate.

I spend about $500 on my niche sites. Pretty much all of that money goes to writers. I get about 25-30 articles for that price. I use a lot of 4 & 5 star writers from text broker. My sites earn the $500 back within 8 months and grow pretty rapidly after that time period.

These particular sites use no email, lists or paid ads. I do however, spend about 2 months on each site working a solid 3-4 hours a day on them until finished. They run themselves and I never update them.

Some may think that's too much time and money. I'm happy with it. It works. I do not actually see a profit from these sites until at least the 8 month mark, at which point it's practically 100% hands free profit. Well worth working on it for "weeks on end with no return", for me anyways.

I don't do keyword research. I choose a niche that is selling and offers an affiliate program of sorts in that niche. I use EPN, Amazon & Adsense.

With all that being said, it sounds like you are doing something similar to what I do, except you aren't making money. My sites are super simple, ugly sites.

Is your content of good quality? Are you being specific enough on your sites?

These two questions seem to answer the biggest culprits of people not making money online with niche sites. (maybe you don't even have niche sites)

Each site IMO must be super targeted. You cannot sell soap, tires and art on the same site. Each site must have quality, focused, well written content. It's good for potential customers and good for Google traffic.

That's all I do and it works for me. I hope you can find something useful out of my post. Good Luck!

Do solos before they are dead, You should be able to build at least 2000 subscribers by buying, swap, click banking funnels ect.
That will start you off selling 50 clicks at least if not a 100.
And you can build from that.

    You can do this:
1] Make a wordpress site using theme
2] Make a bundle of design that you're good at, confirm quality works
3] Do a research which business firms need such designs
4] Buy business leads and start sending newsletters weekly or bi-weekly basis
5] You'll get a decent sized targeted email lists in 3 months
6] Repeat the process and make more sales

    One more thing...
Go to Flippa, look for profitable sites within your budget [there are many] and that must match your criteria.
Invest some time and money to reshape the site and grow existing business level.
    That's it, you'll earn continuously.

I would be throwing money into PPC and press releases, infact these are my main strategies nowadays, and I pretty much triple my investment, especially with a good press release..... however most press releases that I see and warrior who claim to write good press releases are laughable at best, to make my press releases go viral I use a retired journo, they are NOT CHEAP, but if you want results you have to pay.

I agree you should buy traffic through solo ads. You can use vendors from the classified sections of WF or you can also get it on safe swaps.

You should move on with what you're good at, an example is from your signature, you can design logo or header for people, then why not start on this on the beginning and slowly move on to a membership type where you can offer monthly graphics and add your extra services such as designing of logo or graphical headers for your members.

    Hope this helps.

One of the best things that you can do is get a mentor who will show you the ropes. There are some good ones here on the Forum.

It has been the best thing that I have done. This way you will learn skills that you can use over and over. If you spend the $500 trying to learn on your own, you may learn something, but it may end up costing more than $500.

    Just my two cents.

All you Google keywords tool lovers out there - most of the people posting here - take note; this tool is useless by itself for keyword research. This is because it misses out most of the keyword phrases that people are searching on.

As proof of this, for example, take the keyword "buy".

Google keywords planner gives you 600 or so search phrases including the word by. Well, that is obviously complete bullshit - there are loads more search phrases including that word in any given month. Google is fibbing!

The truth is, Google highly edits the results gives you because it doesn't want to help spammers.

Using "buy as an example, Google only actually gives you around 5% of the search phrases including any given term. That is why it is sh*t in that respect: and if you don't take account of this in your keyword research you are being a right newbie!

For example, consider Super Suggester for the same search - buy. This gives around 7000 keywords including that word over the month. So that's a bit more like it!

So, those of you saying how wonderful Google Planner is, you need to think twice before you go around misleading people by posting things like this on open forums. GKWT (Panner) is OK - but don't post BS!

Google Planner has its place but you need to know it's many limitations.

My post on how I do keyword research is here:

Hey William - may be the OP could try CPA? LOL

Seriously, I do love the idea of CPA etc - Plenty of Fish, Google content network, etc. Maybe one day...

I've had a few chats with Chad Hamzeh who has done really well with it.

A tough path... but lots of potential.

You can start to buy solo ads from reputable sellers. Safe-Swaps will help. Then when your list grows, do ad swaps to grow it even more.

Sure, you can try cpc or cpm, but 500 is not enough to find good campaigns.

I would probably offer a service. OK use FIVERR to post your gigs. Then create a small web site where you list your service. Social media is a great way to gain exposure. Also, you can find out the demand for services in your area. For example, if you know PHP programming you can advertise this on CL or clones and get more views.

You need to focus on building REAL business.

Clarity is a HUGE part of IM success. I hope this post brings some clarity. It's so simple when you know it -- and darn difficult when you don't! I owe my mentors a world of thanks for bringing this clarity.

IM is actually pretty simple: you can sell only one of two things:

    1. Products
    2. Services

    That's it!

And selling products or services online happens in the same basic way for everyone, no matter what they're selling:

    Traffic > Opt-in page > Autoresponder series (or e-zine) > Sales page

That's it! It's just that simple. (We IMers tend to overcomplicate things.)

But no matter what your niche is, or whether you're selling a product or a service, do you know what your business model is?

A business model is the framework or skeleton of your business. Essentially there are three types of online business models:

    1. Membership-based model

A membership-based business model allows you to build a community of people (your members) who are as passionate about your subject as you are. Your membership fees can be monthly or annual, but either way, you're building recurring, passive income.

There are a lot of resources and information out there to help you build a membership-based business if you're interested in doing this.

    2. Product-based model

Selling products allows you to maximize your time and effort by selling items over and over again. This can be hard goods or it can be information products. Information marketing is it's own business model under the product-based model. Information marketing allows you to take your brain to the bank by creating a product ONCE based on what you know and selling it over and over again.

Affiliate marketing falls under both models. You can choose to market either products or services as an affiliate.

    3. Service-based model

Selling services can be great for 1) generating quick cash (as in the case of article writing or video producing) and 2) establishing your expertise and getting testimonials.

However, in the long run, your goal should be to offer services at a PREMIUM. The biggest advantage of IM is LEVERAGE. You're able to leverage your time, money and expertise exponentially online. We all have just 24 hours each day. Time to get ruthless about what you expect for those hours you spend in IM each day. Expect more of yourself and more from your business friends, clients, partners, etc.

What results are you getting for those hours you spend online each day? Ultimately, your services should be at the bottom of your funnel and cost the most since they involve your time and personal attention. (We all have a limited amount of time each day.)

The fun (and confusion) comes in with all of the endless mix-and-match possibilities of the above models. If you're just starting or still struggling to make money, keep it simple:

    Pick just ONE!

    1. Pick ONE niche. (Something you're interested in and know something about.)

    2. Pick ONE target market for your product or service. (Who will buy what you're offering? The more specific you are, the more you narrow it down, the more successful you'll be.)

    3. Pick ONE business model.

Now that you're clear about what business you're in, FOCUS! (And stop buying any info not related to your niche and target market, period!)

    F -- Follow
    O -- One
    C -- Course
    U -- Until
    S -- Successful

And remember: build a list, Build a List, BUILD A LIST!

In IM, it's easy to put the cart before the horse. Take a deep breath, step back and consider what type of business you REALLY want. Don't worry about getting traffic or buying that expensive traffic product until you know 1) what your business model is, 2) what niche you're in and 3) WHO your target market is!

Successful business people will tell you that MARKETING is more than half the effort that's needed for success anyway. So pick a niche, target market and business model. Then spend most of your time and effort marketing it.

If you DON'T have a solid plan or system, THAT'S when it's hard. A good system will shave YEARS (and save you big $$$) off of your learning curve

That's why I recommend investing in at least one good, comprehensive IM course (or mentor who will give you such a system) instead of jumping from one $37 e-book to the next. A lot of people here complain about not being able to make any money. But neither are they willing to invest in their business. (Buying a random bunch of $37 e-books doesn't count.)

The best thing I ever did was invest in a comprehensive IM course aimed at REAL business owners, not just other IM wannabes. Yes it was $1500. (It's no longer available.) But it was truly some of the best A-Z IM info I ever bought. Everything else I've learned (from the $37 e-books) since has simply been plugged into this system.

Get a solid plan or system and then work the plan!

    Hope this helps!

If you have already been making blogs, then you have basic info. And as you say you have made some money. Now it is time to see what has made you money and focus on it to improve and scale.

I would say the first thing you should do is figure out what type of marketer you want to be.

    - Info Marketer? - Create & sell info products
    - Email Marketer? - Build email lists & monetize it with offers
    - SEO Marketer? - Build & rank websites on profitable search terms
    - Social Media Marketer? - Monetize platforms like facebook, twitter, pinterest
    - Mobile Marketer? - Monetize mobile traffic with affiliate offers
    - Copywriter? - Write Sales letters for a Fee
    - Offline Marketer? - Sell online services to business
    - ETC

This is the first step before you broadcast you are ready to spend money. Don't waste your money sampling a business model you're unsure about. Figure exactly how you are comfortable making money online then invest your resources to master that profit channel.

I am guessing you want to use your skills yourself compared to selling your skills. Determine your top skills and squeeze them for all they're worth. If you're good at making websites and not good at creating content, perhaps you would succeed in website flipping. Outsource the content and use your website creation expertise to design a quality website. Sell and scale.
