What is the correct way to approach this?

On Friday I purchased a solo from a seller in the Classified section. After a couple emails back and forth with the seller, I was told he would mail my offer on Saturday. At around 5 PM Saturday evening, my offer had not been mailed out, so I emailed the seller to ask when I should be expecting my offer to be mailed. I have not heard anything back from the seller, and my solo has not gone out.

If I don't hear back from the seller soon, how do I go about contacting the mods to have that thread taken down so the seller doesn't take advantage of other buyers? Do I just report the thread and say the seller failed to deliver his service and has not been communicating?

Also, since I paid through PayPal, can I file a dispute to get a refund, or am I SOL since it is probably considered a digital product?

Thanks for the help.

I would continue to try to contact the seller before you take any further action. It is unfortunate that he/she didn't perform as scheduled, but sometimes unique circumstances do arise that change plans (family emergency, hosting server troubles, etc). I think before you call "scam" you should be sure that's what it is.

I have personally seen respectable marketers go "missing" for a few days because of certain circumstances.

He still could be legit and had something happen. But he could also be a scam artist so I would wait another day or two before I contact admin.

He may have have had an internet crash. He may still be genuine so take a little more time before complaining officially.

I was planning on holding off for another day or two until I took any further action. Since its a holiday weekend maybe the seller had plans that distracted him.

I agree sometimes people just vanish for a bit for no reason. The programmer I use who is amazing, will do the exact same thing set a dead line then vanish. But when he returns he has it done 10 * what I expected. So be patient, you never know what is going on in his life. Had a webmaster once that I talked to then for like 9 weeks no contact , sure I had a few choice words I wanted to tell him.. Then his sister calls me, he died of a heart attack ...

I once bought a WSO here that was software that never worked and the guy just stopped responding and couldn't fix it.

I had to go through paypal and even though he had a return policy he refused to honor it! I was SOL because it was a digital product, however, when I talked to someone on the phone with paypal they went ahead and refunded me anyway. So they have the power to decide to do it.

I also wrote a review of that WSO warning people that it didn't work and that the guy wasn't honoring his own refund policy and you know what warrior forum yanked it down and told me reviews aren't allowed. That's pretty shitty, think about the reasoning for that..

Anyway sorry got off topic there. Still kind of pisses me off.

I'd be patient. Personally, I wouldn't want my ad going out over a holiday weekend - would prefer to have it sent after the holiday. Might be to your benefit to have a bit of delay.
