I am about to launch a dating product and I am trying to look for other ways to market it versus just the same old crap everyone is doing (long videos with a guy sketching things) or long writeup with different font sizes and colors and bold and italics. My idea is a FAQ. I'm sure people have done this before. Any comments?

How about short video, short sales message, strong call-to-action?

I am building a short video and have a short message. I am just looking for different techniques to test. My product will be sold through affiliates but also through my site which will have a large amount of content (many dating and self improvement related articles, often of a more 'advanced' nature) I feel like much of my audience will not enjoy the typical sales pitch about how my product will make them get any woman they want in 4 seconds blah blah blah

Anyone who claims they have a way to show a guy how to get a girl in only four seconds should also obviously have the ability to get their sale from the guy in only four seconds.

Lol. I feel like the long videos with these claims are long on purpose (and most don't let you buy until you've watched 10 minutes or so) to filter out anyone with an IQ above 15.

Years ago there were a lot of people getting great marketing mileage out of non-promotional FAQ pages. If you can present basic information in a Q&A fashion and use relevant keywords prominently on the page, then promote the heck out of the page, I'm guessing this technique can still work.

These days, it falls under the heading of "Content Marketing."

Thanks for the replies. gcbmark20, yes, I am going to test and make a video/do what others are doing, I am just looking for other ideas to test. But btw, no, most seduction product pitch videos are EXACTLY the same. Same guys drawing stuff, same exact pitch (hard wire you into her emotional brain etc.) usually they even use exactly the same words. I find it hard to believe that this is the optimal approach for ALL potential audiences. That is statistically impossible.

    TEST, TEST & TEST AGAIN!

Get something out there and see for yourself on the results you get.

You can speculate all day but until you take action you'll never know
whether it will be worth running with it or not.

These other marketers you talk about are using something that works if
they are seeing results from it then they aren't going to change it all that much.

I know you wan to be seen as different but believe me when I say most of
the products/marketing out there no matter what niche has been recycled/re-produced
in a way that makes it unique in itself.

My advice would be to replicate then innovate as you move forward.

All the best with your efforts my friend.

Not quite sure what you're after - but if you want to test sales why not put up some paid advertising with a set budget take them straight to a 'short FAQ sales pitch, of the sort you approve of' and see if your sales strategy gets results???

If this fails then go back to the tried and tested!

I'm going to have all the forms. The FAQ i think is a path that might make sense for more 'sophisticated' readers who understand that seduction products have some value but are not cure alls or miracle 'weird trick will get you laid by hot babes left and right' products. I feel like those people are turned off by that pitch, but can still benefit from buying a book and still do buy some products.

I think FAQ marketing would be a great strategy.
I have not heard anybody still using FAQ as a marketing strategy. But at the same time I would also say old is always gold, it works like wonder, you cannot denie this.
You can also promote an ebook or other relevant offer through affiliate or partner email newsletter that focuses on new and targeted traffics. This will give you access to a crisp subscriber base.
