That's called "Pay Per Lead" marketing; or would be if you were offering pay for it. I assume the tracking would be done in a similar manner. You might want to search for info on how to set something like that up. Maybe someone else has done something similar and will add to this.

Depending upon how many VAs you have, one way to do this without software would be to set up either a sub-domain or a unique page within your site which you assigned to each VA.

Setting up your site in this way would be pretty easy as you can just copy what you already have in place and give it a unique name/place on your site.

You would be able to track where your traffic was landing.

Thanks Steve but the landing page is not mine it is the company's for which i'm an affiliate, im employing VA's full time to send traffic to it. The problem is once the visitor fills in the form and enters his details i have no way of knowing which one of the VA's sent him/her

          Understood.

Would talking with the company and asking if they would allow you to set up multiple affiliate accounts work? I would think if they understood why you wanted to do this, they might be willing. Putting myself in the vendor's place, I would think they would be anxious to do whatever they could to encourage an affiliate to hire others (that they weren't paying) to drive traffic - especially if you told them they could pay all your affiliate accounts with one payment a month (or whatever it might be.)

Do you have access to web analytics on the landing page? eg. can you add Google Analytics?

Then give each VA their own reference in their URL as individual "campaigns" and use goal tracking to see which VA is bringing the most sales:

    www.salespage.com/?utm_campaign=va1
    www.salespage.com/?utm_campaign=va2

If you could find out how the lead is submitted to the company's back end, and you could spoof it without losing *your* commission tracking then yes, you may be able to create your own page which you have control over and can add your own analytics and tracking to it.

If you'd like me to investigate the feasibility of this for you, feel free to send me the landing page URL on PM.

This is the answer. The visitors will visit the same page (regardless of which VA sends them...so long as each VA uses their respective tracking code in the utm campaign) and using goal conversions on analytics you can see exactly how many leads each VA got you.

At the risk of showing my technical naievity here.. once the form is filled in and the button clicked the lead goes to the company i dont have access to it.. so i cant see howthere would be a way to track who sent who to page but how do i track who actually filled in the form?

It depends on the company for which you are an affiliate, and how detailed their affiliate stats are.

The one I'm most familiar with is Amazon, and I believe Clickbank may be similar. You assign a tracking code and include it in your link. The company tracks this code all the way through to the conversion so that you'll know which ad or campaign is making you money.

If the company doesn't have this functionality, and won't allow you to put your own tracking code on the order confirmation page, you're kind of SOL.

I actually like that but and I should keep my mouth shut.
I used to hire VA's and have them promote affilaite products from me.
I would use affiliate sites that let me make my own tracking code.
I would have them saturate everywhere with there link.
I would make one like avangate.com/product/review with review being there tracking code.

I sometimes should just keep my mouth shut but I'm sure most have thought of this already.
I pay for a few days work and reap the rewards for years.

    Just use php.

You then add a value to the end of the url for each VA -- ie yourwebsite.com/?a=person1 and yourwebsite.com/?a=person3

You can then pull that value using php into your page and have it submitted with each lead to your autoresponder. That way you can search which leads have come from which person.

Anyone who knows php would be able to do that for you in 5 minutes. It's very simple.

Will, go back and read post #4. The list isn't his; he's an affiliate.

        That changes things.

In that case I have no idea. Very hard to track something like that without the input of the person who owns the page. Ideally you would need them to put a tracking pixel on their page.
